It always throws viewers off if a series introduces new characters in the final season but fortunately for The Rain Season 3, the new characters they introduce make sense to the story and help move it along. In the third and final season, the Netflix series introduces us to Daniel and Luna. But who are Daniel and Luna in The Rain Season 3?
Well, how do we come across the new characters?
When Simone is presumed dead and falls into a river, luckily, she was helped by two young teenage siblings. The two siblings bring Simone to their place of refuge.
Are they good people?
Yes, they seem to cater for Simone, making sure she recovers from her fall and introduce them to their paradise.
Wait, they have a paradise?
Yes, Daniel and Luna live in an area with their family where the virus does not seem to touch. Their family survived the rain while venturing in a motorhome. Their mother and father are ultra-protective of their zone and do not wish to have visitors.
Does this present a problem for Simone?
Yes, it does. The father is very protective of his family predictably and does not want visitors. Especially when Simone finds out about their secret about the little paradise they are in. Simone finds herself in a precarious position where the siblings warm to her but the father is extremely hostile, which leads to some intense scenes later in the third and final season.
Are Daniel and Luna important to the story?
Absolutely. Without Daniel and Luna, Simone would not have found a new path to potentially saving the world. Also, it’s very clear that Daniel is smitten over Simone as the story progresses which potentially causes some problems…
