Hit & Run season 1 episode 4 recap

As the NYPD Police inspect the body of the driver that Segev killed, Segev calls Tali and sends her a picture of the man he killed in Israel who also attended his and Danielle’s wedding. Assaf is held hostage by Tamir (played by Igal Naor) and told to state his name and age, or he will be charged as a spy. Segev visits the dance studio that Danielle had an audition for. Turns out that there wasn’t even an audition for her to attend, and it only turns more strange when he meets a dance teacher who has never met Danielle.

Segev finally has a breakthrough. Except, her name is Sophie Dreyer, and she was a dance student in the class of 2009. Finding an address, Segev searches the house where he finds photos of a young Danielle/Sophie. With Ron on guard, he warns that a couple is entering the house. With the older man calling the cops, Segev and Ron have no choice but to flee. Before the police can arrest them, Segev rams the police car.

Afterward, after Ron claims Danielle “deserved what she got”, he and Segev have a massive fight. Naomi warns Segev that Martin Wexler (Danielle/Sophie’s father) could be dangerous, and he must tread carefully. With her husband Henry overhearing her on the phone, he states that he thought she wasn’t going to get involved with Segev.

The ending

Going to an apartment under Sophie Dreyer’s name, Segev speaks to her neighbor Gloria who confirms to Segev that Sophie is Danielle. Naomi learns that the Wexler name is fake, and she’s unable to find any trace of Martin Wexler with her belief that the people involved are wealthy and sophisticated. She adds that now is the time to be investigating Danielle/Sophie.

In the apartment, Segev discovers there’s a hidden compartment. (Much like Rachel did when searching for Xmas presents in Friends). Inside, there’s a gun and different passports. Tamie asks Assaf one last question: “After an entire career in intelligence, how is it that you were unaware that Danielle was CIA?”.

Well! Danielle/Sophie maybe worked for the CIA! Plus, what about Naomi’s husband Henry? I personally believe he’ll be involved somehow.
