Hit & Run season 1, episode 6 recap
Still hiding on the train, Segev steals a car and manages to avoid the authorities. With Tali keeping guard on Ella, who is safe, Segev realises that “Martin” lured him to the airport in the hope of having him arrested.
Elsewhere, an outraged Assaf storms over to Syd’s house and asks if she purposely set him up with Danielle before he finds a hidden camera in her bedroom. As Naomie tells Henry about the situation, Segev creates a situation that allows him to take a selfie with “Martin’s” real wife. After “Martin”, real name Reece Wakefield, receives Segev’s selfie with his wife, he contacts Naomi and demands to meet Segev. Forced to agree on Segev’s location, “Martin” is told that he’ll be contacted tomorrow with the details of the final location.
In a flashback, Danielle/Sophie meets Martin/Reece, and she wants some answers. As he’s known her forever, he understands that she’s empathetic. Tali is called in by her superior, and he suspends her for going on his computer (when she checked Scott’s ID). The stress of this causes Tali to land in the hospital. Naomi tells Segev and Ron that she altered the meeting as Segev’s original plan endangered lives, and if Martin/Reece dies, it would be classed as treason.
The ending
The meeting starts, Naomi is with Martin whilst Segev and Ron are on their way. That is until two motorists shoot at Segev and Ron, badly injuring Ron. One of the motorists is shot dead whilst Segev places the other motorist in the car boot. There’s not enough time for Segev to go to the hospital and Ron dies. Having waited long enough, Martin/Reece leaves but not before he denies any knowledge of a Sophie Dreyer.
Segev beats up the motorist he has caught. The motorist speaks in Hebrew and says, “Your wife was a fucking traitor”. He then dies, and when Martin/Reece calls the motorist’s phone, Segev answers: “You’ve messed with the wrong guy”.
