The ending
Following Assaf’s torture, Omer has revealed that he betrayed Tali as he was promised a role within Special Ops. With Assaf hinting he’ll handle Omer, he tells Tali to get out of Israel. In the hospital, Martin/Reece asks Segev to give him the notebook as Danielle/Sophie died trying to give him the notebook. Martin/Reece goes on to tell Segev that Danielle/Sophie heard Assaf plan a meeting with his boss Eitan Sharon. After she followed him to the meeting, she broke into Eitan’s car and found top-secret documents, and to protect her identity, she killed one of their guards.
After Danielle/Sophie contacted Martin/Reece using a coded message, he knew she needed to be out of Israel asap. Instead of leaving immediately, which would have saved her life, it took her 72 hours to leave. Turns out that Danielle/Sophie took so long to leave the country, as she wanted to convince Segev to move to New York. Martin/Reece tells Segev that if he hands over the notebook, he will be supplied with a new identity.
Parked in the middle of nowhere, Assaf rings his wife Maya but fails to get an answer. And with that, he shoots himself in the head, which leaves Omer trapped in the car boot. The NYPD Detective tries to find Segev at the infirmary, but no one is there.
