Summary

As a whole, Elite Short Stories 2: Phillipe Caye Felipe is well written, and like the previous set of short stories episodes, will entertain lovers of Elite. There is nothing groundbreaking in terms of story, but the dynamic between Caye and Philipe hints at what may come in the fifth season.

This review of Netflix’s Elite Short Stories 2: Phillipe Caye Felipe does not contain spoilers.

Like it did before the premiere of the fourth season the Netflix series Elite is treating its fans, once again, with three fresh short storiesThe first of three will focus on Philipe (Pol Granch), Caye (Georgina Amorós), and a new character, Felipe (Àlex Monner).

Whilst obviously fans will be familiar with Philipe and Caye, they’ve not met the character of Felipe before. But I predict that after they’ve watched all three mini-episodes of Elite Short Stories 2: Phillipe Caye Felipe, they’ll be hoping to see a lot more of him! His character has just the right charm and personality to be caught in the middle of the relationship drama between Caye and Prince Philipe. Quirky, kind-hearted with lots of layers, and so it seems that Felipe is another one of Elite’s golden characters. Although, whether he will pop up again in Elite remains unanswered.

In the fourth season of Elite, Caye and Prince Philipe’s relationship was one of the key storylines. So it comes as no surprise that they have their own short story this time around. This time around, its focus is on the romantic drama that follows now that Caye has broken up with Prince Philipe. Although nothing overly dramatic or unexpected occurs in the three mini-episodes, it still does a nice job of keeping with the vibe of Elite

This is much better than Elite Short Stories: Carla Samuel. But it still doesn’t top Elite Short Stories: Guzman Caye Rebe. (Will anything?) Still, Elite Short Stories 2: Phillipe Caye Felipe is more than watchable, and Caye continues to prove that she’s one of the strongest characters to emerge from Elite. As for Prince Philipe, he remains true to his own character. Which, of course, is bound to annoy some viewers.

If you enjoyed this set of episodes, you’re in luck! Elite Short Stories: Samuel Omar and Elite Short Stories: Patrick will soon follow!
