Forecasting Love and Weather season 1, episode 7 recap

Episode 7 opens with Ha-kyung asking Si-woo to live with her. Si-woo is curious as to why, and she explains that by living together, they can get to know each other better. She’s trying not to fall for past mistakes. However, Si-woo feels it’s not the best idea, as he’s done it in the past. These two always appear to make their decisions based on their past rather than their feelings on the present.

Yu-jin tells Ki-jun that she’s confused, which is why she wants to delay the marriage; she feels he has changed and she’s worried about the house loan that will take years to pay back.

At work, Ha-kyung and Um Dong-han talk about the ozone distance to human beings, which feels like a philosophical conversation rather than a scientific conversation. Ha-kyung then asks her team to report on the ozone warning. The Ministry of Environment issue an ozone warning, and members of the public are furious and wrongfully blame the weather station. Assistant Director Oh snaps at a public member on the phone, which angers Ki-jun. He blames Ms. Kim for allowing Oh to use the phone. Ha-kyung reminds Ms. Kim that many people are affected by the ozone warning.

Home issues continue in episode 7; Si-woo tries to find a place, but he’s struggling. And then, he learns that Um Dong-han is sleeping in the night duty room due to problems at home. Later on, Ha-kyung tells Si-woo that she feels he has been distant with her since their “moving in together” conversation. Si-woo reveals he’s looking for a room to rent and wants to separate the relationship from living conditions. Meanwhile, Ki-jun finds a solution for the house loan to reduce the interest and shows Yu-jin. He also offers to help her with an article at work. It appears he’s trying to change his approach to their relationship.

Si-woo tells Um Dong-han that he has a lot of pride, but his cover was blown. Scenes show Ha-kyung respecting his desire to separate their relationship and living situation, but insists that he doesn’t have to pretend that he is not struggling; she calls his bluff. Si-woo si is happy that he no longer has to hide his feelings when he is down around Ha-kyung. In the present day, Um Dong-han and Si-woo sleep in the bunker bed in the night duty room.

The ending

As episode 7 ends, a couple of things happen:

Ha-kyung learns that two team members are using the night duty room, and she is asked to manage her team properly. She quickly learns that Si-woo and Um Dong-han are using it, so she talks to them. She also learns that Si-woo has been kicked out of the training center and sleeps in his car some nights. She’s irritated by these revelations. She asks both men to stay at hers and pay a third of her maintenance until they find a place to rent.

However, late in the night, Ki-jun heads over to the apartment and asks Ha-kyung if he can enter — it’s obvious that he’s drunk, so she tells him to leave. He then hears a man’s voice and learns that Um Dong-han and Si-woo are in her apartment, and he’s angry and confused.
