Tehran season 2, episode 4 recap
Nahid wakes up to quite the scare when Faraz initially doesn’t seem to wake up. But there’s no need to panic, as Tehran isn’t killing him just yet. As Peyman has plans to play tennis with his father, Tamar has instructions to switch his phone, so they can attempt to kill the General. Milad wants to know how Marjan will make sure that Peyman isn’t in the room when the phone explodes. The silence provides Milad with his answer.
Meanwhile, as they track Faraz’s car, Yulia warns Marjan to be careful. After the General tells his son that he can’t do business in the west anymore and that he must join the Guard, his son remarks that it is a corrupt, failing, top-down government. Tamar sets a plan into motion before she attends Vahid’s pool party. Nahid relives her kidnapping in a session with Marjan, as Yulia secretly watches.
At the pool party, Tamar coaxes Peyman and Yasaman into the pool. And in the drama that follows, Tamar hacks into his phone. But there’s an issue, Faraz is on his way to the pool party. So to buy Tamar some time, Marjan suggests to Nahid that they leave the house and invite Faraz to meet with them.
Peyman searches for his phone, and when it rings, he is startled to learn it’s in Tamar’s bag. But as Milad manages to change the screensaver, Tamar is able to claim that she has a phone that is exactly the same. And so her cover remains hidden! (For now). But Tamar’s mission isn’t over; she must stay close to Peyman so the data copies.
Faraz is closer to the villa, and even a phone call from Nahid can’t sway him away. After a tense stand-off, Faraz says he will do this through the proper channels, and he leaves. And so, Tamar’s cover stays intact once again! Vahid, however, finds Tamar’s behavior strange as she continues to help Peyman and Yasaman. And after Peyman takes Tamar to the center, Vahid spots Milad sneaking outside.
The ending
Vahid forces Milad inside and asks why he follows Tamar around like a shadow. But, seemingly not after trouble. Vahid hugs Milad and asks him to put a good word in. Yulia reminds Marjan that she wants Faraz, although Marjan says that she believes that it will be the wrong move to kill him. After Peyman invites Tamar to dinner, she uses the invite as an opportunity to invite herself to tennis. As Faraz feels enormous guilt for not returning to visit Nahid earlier, Tamar returns home to find Milad is nowhere in sight. He has, in fact, been stopped by the police. Following a “tip” from Vahid, the police find drugs on Milad.
