Summary

While a little too long, audiences will enjoy the dark tone throughout the episode, with the emotional highlight being Imogen and Tabby’s heart-to-heart while in Rosewood.

Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin season 1, episode 6 recap

Tabby retells her experiences of being in the woods to Imogen; she explains that she was in the woods when a man went on top of her. But she doesn’t know who it was, just that it wasn’t Tyler as he was away camping with his family. As for Imogen, she doesn’t want to talk about her experience in the woods. Faran tries to apologise to Kelly, but Kelly isn’t interested in forgiveness. Although Kelly does claim that Madame Giry wanted to remove Farn from dance class, she asked her not to.

In 1999, one of Angela’s “friends”, Corey (aka Faran’s future Mom), gets her to get a tattoo, but Corey flees when it comes to her turn. When Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin cuts back to the present day, Corey is freaking out after receiving a threat. Imogen and Faran go to the man who rang Imogen in the previous episode, “Crazy Joe”. He tells them that in school, he was in love with Angela, but the “she-bi**hes” adopted her and tried to turn her into a bi*ch”. He then adds that Imogen’s only family, her Mom Rose, came to the school and tried to stab a number of students after she went mad with grief. Mad Joe also tells them Rose got placed into an asylum within Rosewood shortly afterwards and may still be there now.

When Greg tries to kiss Kelly, she asks if he misses Karen. However, Greg says that he doesn’t before saying, “maybe I always wanted you”. Kelly tells Greg that to even have a chance with her, he had better be front and centre with flowers at Swan Lake. (This scene makes me think that Greg will be the next to die). Imogen and Tabby book themselves in Rosewood, making themselves custom to the chocolate strawberries and ropes. Mouse is on her date, but her mind is elsewhere as Steve is also at the bowling alley. Mouse confronts Steve and tells him that she isn’t his daughter; when Ash interrupts the pair, Steve claims that he is Mouse’s Dad. Creep much?

When Noa returns home, her Mother, Majorie, calls her a liar and scolds her for telling Shawn the truth; as a result, her Mom says she can take care of herself and has recently got a job. In Rosewood, when a guy asks Tabby out, she has visions of him forcing himself on her, so she declines. When Kelly is rehearsing for Swan Lake, A attacks her; Kelly pleads for her life by repeating “I am Kelly” numerous times. (But is she?). Faran argues with her Mom, Corey, over getting surgery to cover up her scar; she reveals that no one tears up her appearance except Corey.

The ending

Imogen and Tabby learn that five young women (aka their mothers) would visit Rose in the asylum. The man they are speaking to reveals that Angela was raped before she jumped to her death. After Kelly drops out of Swan Lake, Faran regains the lead role (it’s non-stop with this production, isn’t it), but when Madame Giry offers to adjust the outfit to cover up her scar, Farn accepts the role but refuses to have her scar covered up. Good for her! Imogen tells Tabby that after going to the beach and drinking a bottle of vodka on her own, she has no memory of what happened next. But she had no underwear and was covered in blood. But Imogen has no idea who the guy is.

In the closing section of the sixth episode of Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, the showing of Black Swan starts; but Faran goes against her mother’s wishes and makes sure everyone can see her scar. However, before the show can start, Faran’s father turns up and tells her that her Mom has been in an accident.
