This article discusses 5 reasons to watch the series The Girl in the Mirror on Netflix.
With a dark premise, a shocking trailer, and a history of great shows coming from Spain, here are a further five more reasons why you should watch The Girl in the Mirror:
5 Reasons To Watch The Girl in the Mirror on Netflix
Reason 1. An Intriguing Plot That Doesn’t Give Too Much Away
The Girl in the Mirror is slated to be about a girl, Alma, the main character, who tries to unravel what happened after a bizarre accident kills many of her classmates. However, this isn’t much information. It’s certainly enough to make you wanna watch and find out what’s in store for Alma.
Reason 2. It’s a Spanish Production
Based solely on the number of great productions that Netflix has made in Spain, that alone is a reason to watch The Girl in the Mirror. Some of Netflix’s best shows are Spanish, such as Elite which was once referred to as the show Riverdale wishes it was. Other shows like The Mess You Left Behind and Someone Has To Die are dark, gritty, and well-made. Plus, they left the viewers knowing they’ve just watched a cracker of a story. So fingers crossed that The Girl in the Mirror will be the same.
Reason 3. Plenty of Special Effects
The trailer involves a few scenes that appear to be costly, well-made, and polished. That alone bodes well for the show. And if the visuals are going to be on point, that is already one box ticked for the show.
Reason 4. Supernatural
While some of the other Spanish shows that have previously been mentioned were very much “real-life,” i.e. something that could occur in our world, The Girl in the Mirror looks set to make things very weird. But just how supernatural will the show get? That’s unclear for now, but it’s still one hell of a reason to watch.
Reason 5. It can’t be worse than the movie with the same name.
While the movie The Girl in the Mirror (2020) tells the story of a tragic fate that awaited college student Alix in her new off-campus house, it wasn’t well received and currently stands at 3.5/10 on IMDB. With that in mind, hopefully, history doesn’t repeat itself. Instead, let’s hope that The Girl in the Mirror is going to be on the same level as Money Heist.
The Girl in the Mirror will be released on the streaming service on August 19, 2022.
