Summary

The episode drags a little, and the characters can sometimes become irritating. But the story, thankfully, moves forward and helps the show from being a complete snoozefest. Ingrid’s journey is a good one, and her character currently saves the show.

In the last episode, Jeff revealed that he remembered Ingrid from the wedding they both attended. But is there even room for him in Ingrid’s life? With Nick in the picture, it doesn’t seem like it! I breakdown everything that happened in Partner Track Season 1 Episode 2.

Partner Track Season 1 Episode 2 Recap

At the office, Justin continues to act like an ar*e, with Rachel telling him that he needs to do better. And the day may prove to be difficult for Ingrid as she’s going to be right beside Jeff as they organize several boxes together. Mrs Weaver, Gigi, comes to the office, but she’s not in the greatest of moods. Whilst Ingrid wants to power through work, Jeff would much rather go for lunch. And so he does. (Good for him!). When Ingrid decides to carry on working, Nick comes to the office and brings her lunch, which is just as well as Ingrid reveals that she probably wouldn’t have eaten had he not brought lunch.

Just as Ingrid and Nick kiss, Jeff interrupts with lunch for Ingrid. Awks. Meanwhile, Rachel and Dan watch as Gigi tells her grandchildren that they won’t be getting anything from their grandfather’s will. But suddenly, Gigi takes a turn for the worse, and an ambulance has to be called. When Justin tells Ingrid to get some fresh air as she’s been “shut-in” all day, it gives her an idea. And does that idea help Ingrid find exactly what she was looking for? You betcha. So she goes to the Oak Room, where he, and Jeff Murphy, should be. Rachel gets a phone call and learns that Gigi is dead. As she discusses the death with a heartless, Dan dismisses her death, although he receives slight karma moments later when Justin “spills” red wine on him.

Ingrid calls out Jeff for going for drinks whilst she was at the office doing the actual work. Although he apologizes, he still seems to be a je*k about it. Ingrid sums it up best by saying that she’s see him, but she’s not falling for him. Even if he does claim to be a “people’s person”. The second episode of the show finishes with Ingrid meeting up with Nick and making out with him.

Even though Ingrid appears to be very committed to Nick, I have an inkling that there’s going to be something suss with Nick. Instead, I think that by the end of the first season, Ingrid will either be dating Jeff or, at the very least, more romantically involved with him. As for Nick, I’m going to predict that he has a secret relationship or will cheat on Ingrid somewhere down the line.
