Summary

Building on the past couple of episodes, viewers may become seriously annoyed with Ingrid.

In the previous episode of Partner Track, Ingrid was arrested for unknown reasons. Whatever the reasons are, hopefully, Partner Track Season 1 Episode 8, brings Ingrid into unknown and uncomfortable territory.

Partner Track Season 1 Episode 8 Recap

Whilst none the wiser as to why she has been arrested, Ingrid chats to her cellmate, a nice nun would you believe. When it comes to questioning, Ingrid learns that she’s been arrested on suspicion of theft and fraud. But it’s clearly not Ingrid who has committed the crime, but rather her sister, Lina. With her one call, she contacts Jeff. And he quickly has the charges against her dropped. Rachel advises Tyler to tell the truth about cheating, which he agrees to do. When Tyler returns home, his boyfriend wants to talk. He apologizes for pushing her and says he will follow Tyler’s lead from now on.

Marty gives Ingrid and Jeff an impossible task during the Thanksgiving holiday. Jeff comments on how funny it is that she called him, not Nick, whilst she was in prison. When Ingrid makes a remark about Victoria, Jeff reveals it isn’t love at all. Instead, he reveals that she was his client in London, and she stumbled across some intel that she shouldn’t have. Which, of course, resulted in a failed deal. Rachel goes to Justin’s community place, which is much better than she initially thought.

Ingrid reveals to Lina that the police have gotten involved over the stolen earrings. Jeff overhears part of the conversation and acts as a shoulder to cry on for Ingrid. Ingrid reveals that whilst she tries so hard to do everything right, it all gets on top of her. During family dinner, Tyler is met with hostile behavior from his Dad over quitting his job. Tyler ends up erupting and storms out of dinner. When dinner with Justin’s friends becomes too cringe for her, she snaps at them. Even then, it’s all too strange for her. On the other hand, Ingrid’s thanksgiving seems to be going better after Jeff cooks her dinner.

Partner Track Season 1 Episode 8 Ending

Ingrid and Jeff continue to drink together. (I have to say, my early prediction of Ingrid and Jeff ending up together seems to be coming true). Even though Rachel has had a miserable time with her friends, it has forced her to open up about her dream of becoming a playwright. Once again, Ingrid lands another deal. And with the likelihood of her being partner even more likely, Ingrid and Jeff have sex. Tyler tells his boyfriend that he slept with Javi. But as it was only once, his boyfriend believes that they can work through it. Tyler, however, needs to work on himself and dumps him. At the office, Nick arrives just in time to find Ingrid with Jeff.
