Summary

A decent episode that has a very cheesy ending. But as that seems to be one of the rules with romance-based shows/films, the audience may lap it up. Arden Cho, however, continues to ace playing Ingrid.

Ingrid continues to dismiss Jeff as she focuses purely on Nick and her career. But there are bound to be some setbacks along the way. Will any of them occur Partner Track Season 1 Episode 3?

Partner Track Season 1 Episode 3 Recap

Ingrid wakes up in Nick’s bed, and they seem to be having an absolute blast together. (Anyone else gets the feeling that something dramatic is soon going to change their relationship?). When she returns to her own flat, her sister shows Ingrid several online articles that have images of her and Nick together. As Ingrid drives herself and Jeff to Carter’s house, Nick calls her, but the phone drops onto the floor.

With the conversation on speaker, Jeff attempts to belittle Nick by referring to him as Neil. Meanwhile, Rachel (despite having a steep hourly rate as a lawyer) has trouble learning that a potential client, Wanda, needs major help trying to get her DJ equipment back. Ingrid finally makes it to Carter. But he’s busy having a party and doesn’t have time for Ingrid. However, when he’s more interested in playing beer pong, Ingrid challenges him. She offers a compromise; if she wins the game, they talk.

Wanda brings Rachel to the guy that stole her DJ equipment, and as Rachel bluffs her way into intimidating the guy, Wanda gets her equipment back. Ingrid wins the game of beer pong. And so, she gets to speak to Carter. And that conversation leads her to Z. Even though he remembers her from the office, he doesn’t have much time for her. The reason? Because she works for Ted. And that goes against his morals. As Rachel continues to party, she learns that Wanda took Gertie’s body and hid her in an industrial freezer. When Rachel tells Wanda to try and bluff her way through life, Wanda questions whether that just results in a fake life.

Partner Track Season 1 Episode 3 Ending

Rachel goes on to ask Wanda what she wants in life. And in a cute(ish) moment, Wanda reveals she wants to be like Rachel. Ingrid finally returns to Jeff, but their car has run out of charge. And since the car takes 3 hours to charge, Ingrid will likely be late for dinner. Does Jeff make the situation worse? No. In fact, he tells Ingrid he will wait beside the car whilst she catches a ride from a friend. Within a couple of scenes, Nick picks Ingrid up. But seeing as “three’s a crowd”, there’s no room for Jeff.

Ingrid and Nick go to her mother’s dinner, and he meets her “wonderfully dysfunctional family.” When Ingrid and Nick return to her flat, it’s ruined. After a small fire started, likely because of Luna, Ingrid has nowhere to live. So, to keep her from being homeless, Nick asks her to move in with him.
