Summary
In Partner Track, there is, of course, going to be a romance element in each episode. But this episode does a great job of exploring racism in the workplace. And while the scenes may not be the easiest to watch, they should hopefully educate viewers on how to behave (or not behave) in a working environment.
With it looking more likely that Ingrid will find herself torn between Jeff and Nick, there’s potential for there to be heaps of drama in Partner Track Season 1 Episode 5. But is there really much of a choice for Ingrid to really consider? So far, Nick has proven himself to be a gentleman, so he should be the easy option. Right? Maybe not. I still think he’ll end up cheating on Ingrid.
Partner Track Season 1 Episode 5 Recap
After Nick drops Ingrid off at work, she becomes distracted when she sees Jeff. And it’s even worse for her when she has to speak to him whilst he’s shirtless. Meanwhile, Rachel gets to work on the skit that she’s making. Later, Ingrid and Jeff get to work on the biggest case of her career, which involves working from the honeymoon suite in a first-class hotel.
When Nick calls Ingrid whilst she is still in the hotel, Ingrid brushes off being with Jeff. But whilst Ingrid dismisses Jeff’s ability to Nick, Jeff manages to get results on the case. As Rachel continues to work on the skit, her leading star (Jerry) tries to flee. So she and Justin sail after him on a small boat. When Jeff gains enough results to seal the deal, Ingrid kisses him. But she stops kissing him and says she has to tell Tyler. She rushes to Tyler and unloads her problem onto him. But Tyler has one minor reminder for her; she has a boyfriend.
Whilst on the lake, Rachel and Justin’s boat runs out of juice. As a result, they’re stuck in the middle of the lake. Whilst stranded out there, Rachel gets snappy with Justin. Justin, on the other hand, remains calm and collected. He even compliments Rachel’s skit. During the evening’s dinner, Ingrid promises to grab dinner with Luna. And then the main event starts! At night, Rachel and Justin are still stuck in the lack. Justin asks why she’s a lawyer. Although she doesn’t answer, Justin tells her that she’s the type of person that could be anything. The next thing you know, Rachel and Justin are kissing.
Partner Track Season 1 Episode 5 Ending
Afterward, Dan does his stand-up gig, where he does a master class in white fragility. He proves himself to be “a piece of sh*t.” But, even so, Ingrid and Tyler feel powerless to do anything. But Ingrid wants Dan to be held accountable for what he said on stage. She goes to Marty with her concerns, and he agrees that something must be done.
