Fate: The Winx Saga season 2 – who is Grey?

Grey starts off as Aisha’s budding boyfriend after they happen to meet beside the river. Aisha is so besotted with Grey that she’s with Grey when things start to go to sh*t at the campus. And if she didn’t already feel guilty enough, when she learns that Grey is actually working with Sebastian, she is utterly devastated. But is Gray really as bad as he seems?

What does Grey do in Fate: The Winx Saga season 2?

After meeting Aisha near the river, a blooming romance begins. And for a while, it seemed that they could have been the next big romance within the show. But oh no! That’s not what the writers had in mind. Instead, after the already shocking reveal that Sebastian is a baddie, we soon learn that Grey is working with him. And whilst Grey isn’t the main mole (hello Beatrix) or even that bad, he still has to lay in the bed he made. Aisha no longer wants anything to do with him, and she cuts off their romance.

Towards the end of the series, as Sebastian really proves how awful he really is, Grey finds himself torn between whether to help. Whilst he warns Aisha and her friends that he can’t allow them near the campus, he barely puts up a fight when they storm past him. And then, when Sebastian almost kills Sky, it is Grey who saves his life. Ultimately, after Sebastian gets defeated, it seems that Grey could be left with a huge punishment for working with the enemy.

Despite his initial betrayal, he doesn’t end up with too raw of a deal. Whilst Beatrix has to pay the ultimate price, Grey doesn’t even get arrested. Instead, he gets sent back to live with his parents, with the only punishment being that he can never return to campus. Considering the fates of Sebastian, Beatrix, Andreas, and Dowling, Grey, without a doubt, had it easy. But let’s face it, he wasn’t as bad as some of the others.

What did you think of the character of Grey? Were you shocked by his ultimate reveal?
