Just when you thought Chainsaw Man couldn’t get any better, it continues to deliver yet another amazing episode. Last week left viewers devastated by teasing more than a few major character deaths. This week they let us know exactly who we did and didn’t lose while also showing viewers some unexpected powers from several Public Safety Devil Hunters. Whether or not their efforts helped will remain to be seen, though, as things only seem to be getting crazier for Denji (voiced by Kikunosuke Toya) and his friends.
- Just after dying, Himeno’s last remaining Ghost Hand pulls the chord on Denji’s chest, whirring Chainsaw Man to life.
- Chainsaw Man and Katana Man get into an epic fight, where they are almost evenly matched until several lackeys with guns appear. Denji takes one of the lackey’s hostage and attempts to offer him back to Katana Man, but Katana Man slices them both in half at the waist instead. They then attempt to take Denji’s body.
- Yutaro Kuruse and Michiko Tendo are waiting for Makima’s train to arrive when they hear the news of the attacks. They wonder if she is alive before the train pulls up, and everyone begins running out. Back on the train, we see that Makima not only woke up after being shot in the head but also murdered the men responsible as well.
- Makima denies ever being shot and requests to be taken to a temple along with 30 convicts so that she can aid Denji from where she is located in Kyoto. Meanwhile, in Tokyo, lackeys begin to die, being crushed to death in thin air. We then see that Makima is the one making this happen, as she sacrifices the lives of convicts to take the lives of whoever she wants instead.
- As the only two left alive, Akane and Katana Man attempt to run away. They are stopped by Kobeni, who found them after being attacked with Hirokazu. Akane attempts to take her out with the Snake Devil, but Kobeni avoids the attack, brutally wounding Katana Man instead. This forces him and Akane to retreat.
- Akane cries over Denji’s body, apologizing for trying to kill him the week before.
- Makima, Yutaro, and Michiko arrive back in Tokyo. Madoka informs Makima she is now in charge of what’s left of Divisions 1-4 before resigning.
Chainsaw Man season 1, episode 10 release date and time
Episode 10 is scheduled to release on Crunchyroll on Tuesday, December 13th, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. ET. The title for episode 10 is unknown at this time, but it will have a run time of approximately 23 minutes.

Predictions
We definitely got a few predictions right after last week’s episode of Chainsaw Man. However, no one wants to be right in predicting a character’s death. RIP to Fushi and the other Public Safety Devil Hunters that were lost in episode 8.
Although things aren’t looking up for Denji and his friends this week, they aren’t exactly looking worse, either. After episode 9, there are definitely a lot of loose ends that will need to be tied up and villains that still need to be taken down. Here’s hoping we can get a few more predictions right this week as well.
- Although we lost Himeno, it seems the Ghost Devil is still alive. It is likely one of the other Devil Hunters will end up making a contract with it. I’m thinking maybe Aki or even Kobeni.
- Kobeni proved to be far more capable than expected this week. She still hasn’t mentioned what devil contracts she possesses, but I have a feeling we will find out at least one next week when she reveals how she saved Denji’s body.
- Despite what they said, Yutao and Michiko will likely end up being assigned to Makima’s squad now that it is severely lacking in members.
