Ginny and Georgia appears to be getting increasingly popular amongst the teenage demographic, especially after it trended on TikTok before the release of Season 2.
Season 2 of Ginny and Georgia was delayed, but that didn’t stop it from being highly anticipated. Following on from Season 1, the Gilmore Girls alternative continues to make strides as the mother and daughter battle through life while attempting to keep dark secrets of the past at bay.
With Season 2 now out, many will be wondering if there will be a continuation or if Netflix will bring down the ax.
Will there be a season 3 of Ginny and Georgia?
Netflix have not yet confirmed whether or not Ginny and Georgia will be renewed for Season 3.
This is nothing new for the streaming service – the company is famous for biding its time, reviewing the viewing figures before making the crucial decision.
We imagine there is a large fanbase out there that would be furious if this series got cancelled. The series has all the hallmarks for four, or five installments, with a great cast and a story that is not running out of legs.
However, there is one thing that could hurt its renewal chances. Season 2 was delayed; firstly, because of the pandemic, but secondly, it took the team a while to sort out the dubbing and subtitles. The fear at Netflix is that time apart will hurt the series. Warrior Nun suffered the same fate after a long hiatus between Seasons 1 and 2.
But there is a sense that Ginny and Georgia is way more popular than Warrior Nun, so hopefully, it can stand the test of time. Fingers crossed!

Netflix have not confirmed how many seasons there will be of Ginny and Georgia.
Gilmore Girls had 7 seasons, but that feels way too ambitious for Netflix or any other streaming platform these days. However, 3-4 seasons would seem about right for Ginny and Georgia.
Ginny and Georgia Season 3 Release Date
There is no release date set yet for Ginny and Georgia Season 3, however, if we were to speculate, then a December 2023 or January 2024 release would seem about right. We’d hope there’d be fewer delays this time, meaning we can have a continuation sooner.
