The hunt for Trini Killebrew and Emily Mills continues in Season 3 Episode 5. Poppy (Octavia Spencer) continues to investigate possible leads while Aames (David Lyons) gains his warrant to interrogate Victor (Jonathan Del Arco). The cases intensify in another slow installment that builds to an exciting finale. Here’s what happened in Truth Be Told Season 3 Episode 5:
- Poppy tells Markus that they suspect Andrew Finney, explaining the link with the gold chains. Markus wants to confront the man instantly, but Poppy tries to dissuade him.
- Poppy and Eva look over their evidence. They want to find witnesses outside the recording studio. Poppy finds Rochelle’s name on the lease and decides to question her next. The image of the infinity symbol triggers an awful memory for Eva; she was branded with the same tattoo. This links Finney to Trini’s case, as it was his identical branding logo.
- Eva warns Alicia about Finney and his history of sex trafficking. Alicia asks to resign, but Eva pleads with her to work for them on the inside. Eva asks her to acquire paperwork and files on the mayoral candidate.
- Poppy goes to speak with Rochelle, but she has been released. She finds her at the cafe, talking about a mixer at Claremont Hills.
- Aames receives a warrant for Victor’s cabin. He interrogates the man, who admits to buying drugs from Peter. In return, he sorted Peter out with some offshore bank accounts. The Emily Mills case only keeps getting murkier.
- Markus and Eva follow Andrew Finney as he embarks on his campaign trail. Eva won’t tell Markus about her history with Finney, though.
- Aubrey calls Poppy out of the blue and hints at their location. Poppy believes they are all at the mixer at Claremont Hills. She tells Aames, but he can’t get them a warrant.
- Poppy lies on her podcast, telling the general public that the police won’t inspect a possible location, although there are rumors Emily Mills has been spotted there, as well as Trini.
- The police take the bait and raid the mansion, arresting traffickers and freeing underage girls. Poppy finds missing teen Melanie Sanchez here and then Trini too.
- Markus and Zarina are reunited with Trini, but she is taken away by Child Protective Services.
Truth Be Told Season 3 Episode 6 Release Date and Time
Season 3 Episode 6 is scheduled to release on Apple TV+ on Friday, February 24th, 2023. The release time is midnight PT. Episode 6 is titled “From My Hand the Poisoned Apple” and will have a run time of 49 minutes.

- The police will start questioning the arrested traffickers, although they won’t give up Finney or his true identity.
- Aames will delve deeper into the Emily Mills case. It seems rather dodgy that her dad was involved in drugs and offshore accounts. Something doesn’t add up. Is he involved in her disappearance? Is he involved in the sex trafficking ring too?
- Poppy has saved two local teenagers’ lives with the raid. Hopefully, she will receive some praise for this courageous act. The police may bring her in on the Emily Mills case now. Together Aames and Poppy will continue to hunt for the missing teens and look further into Finney’s involvement.
