We have hit the halfway mark of season one of Swarm, and the unraveling of Dre (Dominique Fishback) has hit an all-time high. In a wild moment that finally saw her meet her hero Ni’Jah (Nirine S. Brown), Dre ended up biting her and running out of the club. Her next course of action should be interesting to watch unfold.
Swarm Season 1 Episode 4 Recap
The internet is in an uproar over Ni’Jah getting bitten. We get a montage of videos of people criticizing, slandering, and belittling whoever was the one that did it. Next, we see a tired Dre falling asleep behind the wheel, zigging and zagging, and getting pulled over by a cop. The cop questions Dre and asks her if she is heading to the music festival, and she says yes, leading to him saying he will follow behind her to ensure she gets there safely.
Dre pulls over to a gas station, and a girl decides to help her and get the cop off her back. After she ditches the cop, she offers to put her up at her house during the festival. Dre runs into Eva at home, who seems smitten by her. Eva and her crew invite Dre on a hike the following morning, almost killing them.

Eva is the head of the women empowerment group that Dre stays with before going to Bonnaroo. Singer Billie Eilish plays Eva in the episode.
After their hike, Dre returns to her car and notices it has been cleaned thoroughly. Then, Eva offers to provide Dre with some free counseling. Dre arrives, and Eva asks questions about her life, including Ni’Jah. We see Eva break Dre down in a way we hadn’t seen all season, offering the viewer an inside look at how she got to where she is today.

Things start to unravel for Dre as Eva gets inside her head. From taking her phone away from her to how she gets her to tell everything about her past, Dre is starting to lose her mind. Next, Eva begins to ask why there is blood on her seat. The group gathers around the fire to start manifesting, but Dre gets up because she hears music. However, nobody else hears the music, causing Dre to lose it. She snaps, calls everyone liars, and attempts to leave, but Eva tries to stop her.
Who dies in Episode 4?
Eva and a couple of the other ladies at the camp die. Dre begins to lose her mind, but she wants to leave, and when she does, Eva tries to stop her. When she does, Dre drives off in her car, hitting Eva, and while on the ground hurt, Dre backs up and runs over her body. After that, a few girls try to come after Dre, and a few end up dead.

Finally, Dre arrives at Bonnaroo, only to realize that the festival is over, and she misses Ni’Jah. The episode ends with Dre laying in her car crying while watching videos of her performance at the festival.
