Summary
Episode 6 is another odd episode that fails to gain the momentum needed as we head into the season finale.

For the first time all season, we didn’t add to Dre’s body count, but Dre (Dominique Fishback) had to face some old demons to try and get her phone back up and running. We have reached the second to last episode of Swarm.
Swarm Season 1 Episode 6 Recap
We meet Detective Greene with the Memphis Police Department, who tells the story of being a detective and what it is like. Then, we find out that she is on the case of the mystery bodies starting to pile up. She arrives at one of the victims, Tiffany Long’s house in Nashville, to look at the crime scene. Next, she talks about how she knew a “sister” was making these killings. As she tells each story, you are reliving the murders that Dre committed.
Detective Greene started to piece together that these killings had a common thread, Ni’Jah. So they interview a “bee-hive” member, a.k.a. the Ni’Jah fan club, to see how wild a group they are. Next, she broadened her search to Houston, where she investigated another blunt-force trauma death of Khalid. After talking to his brother, the name Marissa pops up, and a light bulb comes on for Detective Greene cause she remembers seeing a tweet with her name in it.
What happened to Harris Jackson?
Harrison Jackson has passed away. In Episode 5, Harris attempted to kill Dre for breaking into her house and believing she was why Marissa died. In the middle of this time jump (uncertain of the time frame), we find out he passed out a little later from prostate cancer.
While she was looking through some old photos, Detective Greene stumbles across images of Dre. Then, Mrs. Jackson shares a story about them adopting Dre and how that didn’t work out for the family because she had such a hard time at school. She further explains the relationship that Marrisa and Dre had that Harris didn’t quite understand. Finally, they ask the million-dollar question if Dre and Marissa were Ni’Jah fans, and Mrs. Jackson said they were obsessed.
Who is Gwen Guillroy?
Gwen Guillroy is a childhood friend of Marissa. We meet her in the middle of Detective Greene’s investigation. She wasn’t a big fan of Dre, but we find out about the story of the red milk from earlier in the season. One night, there was a slumber party, and they played a game. Whoever fell asleep first would get slumbered. So, Marissa fell asleep, and that’s what they did, but Dre grabbed Gwen by the hair and got on top of her, and moments later, Gwen realized she was stabbed, and blood was everywhere.

On her way out the door, Detective Greene asks to have one of the pictures of Dre. She calls her Detective down in the other city, who shows the photo of Dre, and confirms it is her. Next, we see her in Houston at the Department of Family and Protective Services. She speaks to the case worker in charge of Dre’s adoption. After trying to push answers out of her, the case worker gets upset because she feels she is digging for things.
Swarm Season 1 Episode 6 Ending Explained
A few have passed, and her fellow officers have put it on the back burner. Detective Greene starts to unpack the case and knows she needs more evidence. We hear her say she wants to talk to Dre and maybe a Ni’Jah concert. However, the Detective gets a call saying they found Dre and asks them to hold her until she gets to Atlanta.
