Dance 100 is a competition on Netflix where eight talented choreographers battle it out to become the best and win $100,000. Celine Edmondson, one of the choreographers, has struck a chord with audiences, especially as she’s made an effort to set herself apart from the other competitors. While she didn’t win, fans have questions about her, like who she is and what she’s doing now.

The judges for this aren’t the typical panel; they’re the ever-increasing number of dancers the choreographers have to decide material for, with the finalists having to manage 100 of the world’s best dancers. It’s all hosted by the famed Peloton instructor Ally Love.

Where is Celine Edmondson now?

Despite not winning Dance 100, Celine still has a stellar career ahead of her. She is currently a teacher at Steps Broadway Conservatory, a dance program for 17-24-year-olds in New York.

Her bio on their webpage says she’s also working on TV and film projects. She’s also affiliated with the BLOC, a talent agency that represents choreographers for several things, but also film and TV, which shows that she’s eager to do more work on-screen.

After signing with the Clear Talent Group in New York, Celine joined the Brooklynettes in 2015, the official dance team for the Brooklyn Nets basketball team. She’s a performer and choreographer for the team and worked her way up to be Co-Captain. Her choreography has been presented at high-level venues, including at the 2019 Global Games in China and at the 2020 NBA All-Star Weekend.

Aside from her work with the Brooklynettes, Celine has also performed with artists like Bebe Rexha, Meghan Trainor, DJ Khaled, and more. She recently became a brand ambassador for Black Pyramid and performed at the 2020 VMAs with Maluma. It’s clear from this that she’s an accomplished dancer and choreographer and has a bright career ahead of her.

How did Celine Edmondson do in Dance 100?

While Celine ultimately didn’t win the contest, going out in the penultimate round, she still made an impression on both the audience and judges. She was eager to stand out from the seven other competitors at the show’s start and passed the first two rounds with flying colors.

In the third round, she stumbled somewhat, as she was one of the two contestants with the fewest votes. This entered her into a dance-off with fellow contestant Janick Arseneau, which Celine conquered.

During the semi-final, she had to do two routines with 25 dancers, but ultimately the judges thought that she could have elevated them further, ending her time in the competition.
