We discuss 10 TV Shows like You that you must watch. Add these well-recommended and thrilling TV Series to your watch list.

Netflix has been trying to find a show that will stick and have longevity on its streaming service, just like Stranger Things and Orange is the New BlackYou is one of those shows that keeps audiences excited for each season.

The series began in 2018, shortly after Gossip Girl ended. Penn Badgley flew under the radar after Easy A but has always been a good romantic lead.

That’s why when he was cast as Joe Goldberg in You, his fans were pleasantly surprised with the turnaround, while others were discovering how good he was. The series is about a dangerously charming, intensely obsessive young man who takes extreme measures to insert himself into the lives of those he is transfixed by.

This series works so well because audiences get into the mindset of Joe Goldberg and the twisted side of his mind. Audiences understand that for him, what he’s doing comes from a place of love because that is what he was taught, and instead, he must unlearn all of those things.

Each season has improved, and season four takes Joe out of his comfort zone and into a sea of sharks that can eat him alive.

The series listed below have all been loved by audiences because of their incredible storylines, intense chemistry among the cast, and the scandals that come about.

10 Recommended TV Shows like You

The Fall (2013)

This was one of the first series on the Netflix streaming service from the BBC, and it’s possibly one of the greatest thrillers. A passionate policewoman goes head to head with a passionate father who is a serial killer out in Belfast.

They are both complex characters, and they somehow connect with one another, which makes this series intriguing.

Dexter (2006)

Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) is apparently everyone’s favorite serial killer after the series debut on Showtime. The character has grown with audiences, and it seems people want to understand what makes a serial killer tick.

This is an in-depth psychological thriller because Dexter solves crimes during the day and commits them at night.

Killing Eve (2018)

Without Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer having incredible chemistry, Killing Eve wouldn’t be the amazing show it turned out to be. The concept is something we’ve seen before; a security operative and an assassin become linked during a series of events. But it’s the chemistry that kept people tuning in every week.

Mindhunter (2017)

Almost everyone wants to step into the mind of a criminal, and that’s precisely what David Fincher did with MindhunterThe series is set in the late 1970s, and two FBI agents are tasked with interviewing serial killers to solve open cases.

The difference between this series and the others is that these are all real-life cases, and the actors who portrayed the killers are accurately cast to explore their story.

Hannibal (2013)

This is another series that highly depends on the chemistry between the two leads. Hugh Dancy and Mads Mikkelsen give audiences some juicy tension and character interactions that make this show engaging.

This explores the early relationship between renowned psychiatrist Hannibal Lecter and a young FBI criminal profiler who is haunted by his ability to empathize with serial killers.

The Stranger (2020)

This is a Netflix original series that follows the lives of suburban families whose secrets and lies are made public by the appearance of a stranger. There’s plenty of tension, and because it surrounded a family, there is more of a connection to each character.

Ozark (2017)

Ozark is definitely one of the better Netflix original series, and it’s because of the dynamic between Laura Linney and Jason Bateman. Martin (Bateman) is a financial advisor who drags his family from Chicago to the Missouri Ozarks, where he must launder money to appease a drug boss.

The great thing about each season is that his wife, Wendy (Linney), becomes more involved with her husband’s side business.

Pretty Little Liars (2010)

This series is based on the book series under the same name, and it is one of the longest-running teen dramas on cable. There are four friends who band together against an anonymous foe who threatens to reveal their darkest secrets while also investigating the disappearance of their best friend.

Gossip Girl (2007)

Gossip Girl is on this list because of Penn Badgley. Without Dan Humphrey to orchestrate a lot of the behind-the-scenes events that would eventually lead to an argument, the show wouldn’t have been as exciting. The series is about the wealthy lifestyle of Manhattan’s elite through teenagers, and they’re all connected by this one site or “being” that would expose them from time to time.

Bates Motel (2013)

Whether you’re a fan of Vera Farmiga or PsychoBates Motel is a thrilling series that elevates the source material. This is a contemporary prequel to Hitchcock’s original film, exploring how Norman Bates’ psyche unravels through his teenage years.

They explore his intricate and deep connection with his mother, Norma, and how that deeply affected him.
