Today’s episode raised many interesting new questions that will surely add some excitement to Senku’s adventure.
We recap the Crunchyroll anime series Dr. Stone Season 3 Episode 6, “Treasure Box,” which contains spoilers.
After over a year of building and planning, Senku (Yusuke Kobayashi) and his friends have finally set sail in their new ship. While some friends stayed along to help maintain and advance the village, most of the series’ beloved favorites joined Senku on his journey to find the source of the petrification beam.
However, before they can do that, Senku has another task he needs them to complete first. If they’re successful, they may even be able to revive more people when the time comes.
Dr. Stone Season 3 Episode 6 Recap
The episode opens with Senku declaring that it is time to save the other seven billion people on Earth from their petrification. His friends wonder how they can do that without more revival fluid, but he says they will acquire a “treasure” that will give them an unlimited supply.

According to Byakuya Ishigami, the real treasure of their island was the precious ores and things they had salvaged from their ship. These are the things he left behind in their treasure box made from his crew’s old spaceship, the Soyuz.
What ore does Senku hope to find in the treasure box?
After learning of his step-father’s treasure box from one of the hundred stories, Senku hopes to find platinum in the treasure box they left behind. Once they get it, he says they can use it to make even more revival fluid.
There are currently around 150 people in the Kingdom of Science, including Tsukasa’s people and those from Ishigami village.
Who is Soyuz?
As they speak, an unknown member of the ship’s power crew asks to speak to Senku. Although he usually goes without a name, or by “No Name,” he introduces himself as Soyuz and explains that he washed up on the shores of Ishigami Village as a baby but kept his name to himself as it did not fit in with the rock-themed names of the other villagers.
His reveal leads Senku to conclude that the treasure island must be inhabited.
Do Senku and his friends survive the storm at sea?
Not only do Senku and his friends survive the storm at sea, but he uses it as an opportunity to sneak up on the people of the island, as they do not know if they are friendly.
Dr. Stone Season 3 Episode 6 Ending Explained
The storm worsens, but the crew navigates through it, seeing the island’s horizon in the distance. The episode ends with Soyuz happy to see his home again while Senku wonders what awaits them on the island.
So far, Dr. Stone has been pretty consistent this season. While nothing has been as crazy as the first appearance of the Why-Man, each episode has delivered entertainment and plenty of science facts. With today’s episode, however, I could feel a shift in the storytelling. While the majority of the first few episodes were setting us up to set sail, now that we’re finally there, things are picking up rapidly. Soyuz’s reveal made things especially interesting and should play a significant role in what’s to come during this next arc.
