There’s just something about a show that keeps you guessing where things are headed. In particular, when each episode ends with a twist and revelation you didn’t see coming. That’s what you have in the series Rabbit Hole.
Led by the always interesting and dependable television star Sutherland, this Paramount+ series is a suspenseful, highly entertaining thriller with a well-timed sense of comic relief.
Will there be a Season 2 of Rabbit Hole – renewed or canceled status

While Peter Kiefer Sutherland is open to continuing Rabbit Hole, he did admit in a recent interview with TV Insider that he is unsure if the production of the series will continue.
While this does not sound encouraging, it’s not unusual in the streaming world to work differently from network television. There’s an assessment of watch hours, determining on whether it’s worth the investment.

Currently, Paramount+ has not officially stated whether there will be a season 2 of the Kiefer Sutherland-led series Rabbit Hole. From creators John Requa and Glenn Ficarra, the show was thought to win over fans after its initial two-episode release on March 26th, 2023, due to its veteran cast.
However, a similarly themed series, The Night Agent, has been at the top of the streaming charts since being released a few days prior, possibly due to the streaming platform. With high costs and streaming networks tightening their belts, whether Rabbit Hole will receive a second-season renewal remains to be seen.
One helpful metric is the Rotten Tomatoes audience and critics score. Rabbit Hole has similar numbers to The Night Agent, receiving a 75% grade from critics, the same as its Netflix rival. However, regarding the audience score, the CBS-produced series has a higher 85% score than the 76% approval of the Gabriel Basso-led thriller (verified on April 29th, 2023).
Paramount+ has been known to be kind to freshman dramas and those with star power. The network has given second-season renewals to several shows, such as Mayor of Kingstown, 1923, Tulsa King, and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. And let’s not forget the initial two-season order of Halo.
However, according to Nielsen ratings on the week of its initial release, Rabbit Hole has not ranked among the ten steaming series in viewership. According to the tracking website FlixPatrol, Rabbit Hole has not cracked the top ten in Paramount+ series viewing since its premiere.
The series also lacks buzz, not cracking the top five in any series mentioned on prominent social media platforms like Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook.
Prediction: While I’m bullish on Rabbit Hole, the numbers do not justify a second season, even though I am hoping.
How many seasons of Rabbit Hole will there be?
Paramount have not disclosed their plans for Rabbit Hole. So far, there is only one season of the series.
However, there’s potential for more, especially with the star power. If viewing figures improve, Rabbit Hole may stay around for a while.

A series that wasn’t boring, you had to pay attention to, and had twists and turns every episode. I looked forward to it, well acted, directed and written. Dont know where a season 2 would go, but I’d watch.

Rabbit Hole was fantastic. So many twists and turns. Can’t believe people haven’t seen this show. Keifer Sutherland is great as well as the rest of the actors. Season 2 should be a must. Premise is very current.

Hoping for a season 2. Love Keifer Sutherland and the whole cast has our attention. The only thing I wouldn’t miss is all the foul language. It’s not required and it’s not impressive. If you think it’s required, look at your ratings. It’s worth a shot anyway.
Keifer does not disappoint. Plenty of great actors and actresses. No woke stuff, just great action and stories.

Keifer Sutherland and the entire cast of Rabbit Hole is tremendous, Paramount+ in my opinion hasn’t done a good job of advertising it. I sure hope that it is brought back for a second season. We need more programs like this it is what streamers will watch and everyone remembers Keifer in 24.
