Never Have I Ever Season 4 Episode 7 Recap
Things have gone relatively well at Sherman Oaks for Paxton as he relives his high school days, but he is doing so as an employee.
Tryouts for the swim team are happening, and one student in particular, Eric, has tried out every year and failed, and his season year was no different. While Paxton tries to cheer him up, Eric talks him into training him.
Ms. Thompson pleads for some faculty for help with the students and the student helpline, and none of the teachers volunteer.
Later that week, the Cuisines of The World faculty potluck is happening, and Mr. Shapiro pitches Paxton to help him with a dish, but he mentions being too busy.
Ms. Thompson criticizes him for always being busy to help at any faculty social event, and Paxton says he can’t help because he is busy.
Paxton invites a couple of people over to play Oculus, which leads to a bunch of kids coming over, turning it into a full-blown party. He freaks out, but Devi arrives, telling him to relax a little bit.
However, one of the kids calls the school hotline, and Ms. Thompson shows up and realizes it is Paxton’s party. She calls him out, telling him he needs to grow up.
How does Paxton get in trouble with his boss?
After a successful day of training Eric, Devi congratulates him on a well-done job. The door shuts as they put supplies up in the closet, leading to them being locked in the supply room together. The two reminisce about life leading to their kissing, and Coach Noble walks in on them.
Does Eric make the swim team?
After grinding and putting in all the hard work, Eric swims in front of Coach Noble to make the team. He has a successful tryout, and Paxton announces that he has made the team as a JV Alternate.
Devi congratulates Paxton for helping Eric out. Paxton talked about how amazing it felt to help someone chase their dreams. The two talk about their kiss and how it was a mistake, and Devi says it was the perfect closure she needed.
Ben walks by, he and Devi share insults making fun of their looks, and Paxton mentions that there seems to be some unfinished business between the two, and she tries to deny it.
