The Prime Video original series The Horror of Dolores Roach is growing in popularity by the day, and it’s safe to say, this horror comedy has got people talking. Viewers that have completed this eight-part series will be desperate to know what that cliffhanger ending means and eager to find out just who the person is that answers the door to Dolores in that final scene.
Who was at the door at the end of The Horror of Dolores Roach?
Viewers are not shown the identity of the individual that answers the door at the end of The Horror of Dolores Roach, but we can definitely make some educated guesses on who that mysterious person could be.
If we are to assume that it is a character we have already met, then that shortens things down. There aren’t that many people left in the story by the end, because Dolores has already killed most of the cast off. The main players that remain are Nellie, Dominic, and Georgina Bellyard.
It would seem unlikely that in the years that have passed, Nellie has gotten out of jail and made a killing, but stranger things have happened. It’s also highly doubtful that Dolores would want to kill Nellie either. If anything, it would be Nellie that would want revenge.
Then there is Dominic. Caleb may have wanted to keep this big reveal a secret, so he didn’t outright tell Dolores that she was about to meet her ex-boyfriend. She may be surprised by Dominic’s change in appearance after all those years, which causes the hysterical laughter. And of course, she has a strong desire to kill him. Dominic seems to be the front-runner at this point.
There’s an outside chance that it is Georgina Bellyard though, her old college friend. They ended things on frosty terms. Georgina may have lied to Dolores about her involvement with Dominic. She might have been his girlfriend all along. If Dolores found this out, then she would surely attack Georgina.
That being said, it could very well be a new character that we haven’t met yet. Someone from Dolores’ past or her family that she wants dead. We will have to wait and see what season two brings if the series is to be renewed.
Why is this important?
It is important that we find out who the individual is because it is integral to Dolores’ story arc. She believes that if she finds and kills Dominic, then she will be made whole once again. This hunt for Dominic is key to Dolores regaining some control of her life and finding some inner peace.
Does Dolores kill them after she laughs?
Dolores attacks the individual after her laughing fit. It would be safe to assume that Dolores kills this individual as well. Dolores has killed every one of her victims that she has attacked in the past. If this is Dominic though she may have a proper fight on her hands, but she will be desperate for her revenge nonetheless and will not stop until they are killed.
