We have reached the season finale of This Fool Season 2. While Luis (Frank Quinones) and Julio (Chris Estrada) continue to sulk over their woman problems, a new cafe in the town is threatening the Hugs Not Thugs business that leads to an ultimate showdown.
This Fool Season 2 Episode 10 Recap
A flier is left on a car outside of the Hugs Not Thugs Cafe that is promoting a coffee shop called Guilt Free Cafe. They are advertising that, like the Hugs Not Thugs Cafe, they are hiring ex-gang members and convicts. Luis, Percy, and Minister Payne head to the store to confront them.
What happens when Minister Payne and Julio confront the Guilt Free Cafe?
The owner of Guilt Free Cafe said they are different from the Hugs Not Thugs Cafe as they only employ people that were wrongfully convicted of crimes, hence the name. He explains that they had been in business for five years. However, Minister Payne said it’s BS, and they are trying to steal their customers. It ends with Percy throwing a pastry on the floor and the owner telling them to leave.
Luis is trying to travel and get his record expunged, so he goes to the one person he knows that might help him, Julio’s ex Maggie. She tells him it may take up to a year to get it expunged, but she will print a list of places he can go. Luis tells Julio that he is planning on going to Cambodia.
The cafe had been ransacked with graffiti on their storefront, rocks thrown through the windows, and human feces on the ground. Minister Payne and Luis arrived at the mess, and Payne was on the news accusing the owners of the Guilt Free Cafe.
Who destroyed the Hugs Not Thugs Cafe?
The owner of the Guilt Free Cafe arrives at the cafe to tell everyone that they had nothing to do with the cafe being destroyed. He then accused Minister Payne of doing it. Payne told him he had an alibi, which was Luis. However, as they stood there, Luis remembered that Payne had left at night. After a big fight with the owner, Minister Payne admits to Luis that he did it.
This Fool Season 2 Ending Explained
After Minister Payne announces that he is returning to New York to visit his son, we see Luis and Julio sit down to discuss their next moves. Luis is upset because Ruby doesn’t want to have kids, but as they work things out, he leaves for Cambodia in a week as she suggests he experiences it. Julio tells him he will hold things down at the cafe while he is gone.
As a result of Minister Payne being on the news, business is booming at the cafe. The season ends with Julio sitting down with a therapist, and she asks, “Why do you think it bothers you that Jorge is so happy?” We see him put his hands over his face.
