Neil Gaiman’s fantasy epic Good Omens is back for a long-awaited second season. Fans will be excited to return to this comical, inventive world of angels and demons.
But the main draw of the series has always been the two iconic leads, Crowley (David Tennant) and Aziraphale (Michael Sheen), and their ineffable relationship.
The second season focuses even more heavily on this historic relationship, but all that fans will really care about is whether Crowley and Aziraphale actually kiss in Good Omens 2.
Do Crowley and Aziraphale kiss in Good Omens Season 2?
Yes, fans will be happy to hear that Crowley and Aziraphale do, in fact, share an onscreen kiss in the final moments of Good Omens Season 2.
The scene in question appears near the end of chapter six, “Every Day.” Aziraphale has been offered Gabriel’s old job as Supreme Archangel of Heaven and wants Crowley to come with him to Heaven to serve by his side.
Crowley gets emotional and opens up to Aziraphale for the first time ever about his own feelings toward the angel. He says how they are a team and that he wants to be with Aziraphale, but not in Heaven or Hell. Crowley wants to be with Aziraphale on Earth only.
Neither seems to want to change their minds, so Crowley decides to leave. Before departing, Crowley gives Aziraphale a goodbye kiss to remember him by. Aziraphale says that he forgives Crowley afterward, but the demon isn’t interested. He storms off out of the store.
Do Crowley and Aziraphale get together in Good Omens Season 2?
Unfortunately, that is how the season ends, with Crowley and Aziraphale going their separate ways. Crowley has finally opened up to Aziraphale and told him how he truly feels, but Aziraphale is set on going to Heaven regardless. They are not together as the end credits roll on season two.
Crowley stands by his Bentley, watching as Aziraphale and the Metatron stand outside the elevator to Heaven. Crowley and Aziraphale stare at one another, but neither changes their minds in those last seconds.
The episode ends with a split screen, showing Aziraphale taking the lift to Heaven on one side. He looks regretful and then somewhat hopeful. Whilst Crowley drives off in his Bentley on the other side, looking disappointed and forlorn.
Do Crowley and Aziraphale fall in love?
It would seem that Crowley and Aziraphale have been in love for a very long time now, as flashbacks in season two explore their burgeoning relationship, hinting at their inseparable connection. They never actually discuss their feelings for one another or act on their emotions until that famous kissing scene in episode six.
There are countless examples across the two seasons that prove their undying love for one another. It is just startling that we never get to see the two characters genuinely addressing these feelings until the very end. This will keep viewers hooked, desperate to see if the couple end up together in a third season if the show is to be renewed.
