What happened to Mario Biondo?

Mario would be found dead in 2013. He was found to have committed unintentional suicide at his home library. Mario was found with a pashmina shawl wrapped around his neck, and to this day, his family and friends have stated that the death was not suicide as initially ruled.

Mario’s parents were never convinced by the evidence that their son committed suicide and have campaigned relentlessly to have the case further examined.

In August of 2022, an Italian court ruled that his death may have involved foul play and inferred that the crime scene may have been tampered with.

The case is ongoing.
