Netflix has built their own multiverse of dating reality shows over the last few years, from Love is Blind to Too Hot To Handle to The Ultimatum. The second season of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On found new couples searching for answers from their significant others.
The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On follows five couples in different phases of their relationship, but in each couple, one person wants to take their relationship to the next level. However, for one reason or another, their significant other is hesitant about getting engaged.
As a result, they have come on this show to present them with the ultimatum. The show’s basis is as follows: each couple must break up, enter a trial marriage with one of the newly singles for three weeks, and then move in with their “ex” for three weeks before being confronted with The Ultimatum.
At the show’s end, you are either getting engaged, leaving with someone else, or breaking up and leaving alone.
Who are Trey and Riah from The Ultimatum?
Trey is a 29-year-old Area Manager at the Paper Mill, while Riah is a 25-year-old Managing Server. The duo met on a dating app where Trey thought for sure that she was a catfish.
They’ve since been together for two years, and after dating long distance, Riah moved into Trey’s place, where they grew stronger as a couple.
Are Trey and Riah still together after The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On?
Throughout the show’s first eight episodes, we saw Riah and Trey go on two different adventures in their trial marriage.
First, Trey found himself in a trial marriage with Ryann, and they connected early on because they both had given the ultimatum to their significant other. They connected on a personal level as both had dealt with some issues growing up that were relatable to one another. Because of this, Trey told Ryann and later Riah that he had developed feelings for her.
Riah’s trial marriage with James (Ryann’s ex) didn’t go as great. While it started off well, the two didn’t see eye to eye on many things, leading to several fights and slowly distancing themselves. Towards the end of the trial marriage, they were both ready to be done.
As for whether or not Riah and Trey are still together? After the trial marriages ended, Riah and Trey got back together, and she struggled with the idea of him catching feelings for anyone else. She wasn’t sure how she would ever be able to trust him again. From what we’ve seen on the show through eight episodes, Riah and Trey have bounced back as they head into decision time.
We can’t say for sure whether or not the two are still together, but after doing some detective work in searching social media, the context clues might point to the two of them being in South Carolina together, which would bode well for the couple as we saw on the show she wanted to live in Atlanta for a little while before finally settling down.
Who was the ultimatum giver between Trey and Riah?
Trey is the one who gave the ultimatum as he is ready to replicate the life that his parents had, who have been married for over 30 years. However, Riah is on the opposite end, saying she’s never seen a healthy marriage as her parents split when she was younger.
