What happens to Doc’s vision?
Meanwhile, Doc and Cameron see to Jay, the firefighter who is in a critical condition. Cameron performs CPR, whilst Doc readies a crucial needle injection. His vision betrays him though during this operation and Cameron has to take over. Doc sees black spots in the center of his vision. His greatest secret has finally been revealed.

How are Lizzie and Denny saved?
Back at Jack’s Bar, Hope stresses about Lizzie and Denny’s safety. But Bert is to the rescue. He clears a path for them with his truck and soon the whole gang are reunited. The Chief thanks Hope for all of her support. Nick agrees to work alongside Hope moving forward.
The Chief orders the citizens to stay in the bar for the time being. He admits that many homes have been lost, but he plans to save as many as possible.
Hope asks for the incident commander’s number, as she plans on convincing them to loan the town some water planes.
Those planes quickly become a priority as the fire jumps the river and makes its way to Jack’s Bar. Brady takes command and orders the team to dig a backfire to save the bar. Preacher is against Brady’s plans, but Jack agrees to the scheme regardless.
What is Hope’s plan to save Virgin River?
Now the bar needs to be evacuated too. Hope takes charge and orders the citizens to head to the designated safety zone at the kid’s camp. Amidst all of the commotion, Hope formulates her own plan to save the town. With Jack’s help, she manages to convince Charlie to loan them one of his planes.
With the entire town now in evacuation mode, Denny goes to the clinic to warn the staff there. Doc doesn’t want to move his patient, though and agrees to stay behind with Cameron. Mel heads to the safety zone with Ava and Chloe.
The firefighters and Kaia eventually show up at Jack’s Bar and take over. Later that day, the crowds cheer at the safety zone as Jack flies Charlie’s plane over the fire, dispersing water as he goes. This will be the first of many drops.
Nick congratulates Hope on her master plan. He agrees to resign as mayor so that Hope can be reinstated.
During the episode, we also see the fire from Brie’s perspective over in Sacramento. She nervously watches with Mike and her mother. This subplot gives Brie a chance to further bond with Mike and finally make amends with her own mom. She is relieved to hear the next day that there have been no casualties in Virgin River.
