Summary

“Pressure Points” is another slow and predictable installment from the series. If it weren’t for Shioli Kutsuna’s impressive performance and the special effects work used in Mitsuki’s segments, there would be very little else to keep viewers watching.

Invasion Season 2 Episode 6 is an eventful chapter, and there are three main storylines to recap in “Pressure Points,” which I will explain. Aneesha (Golshifteh Farahani) and the Movement head to a military base in the fog but are attacked by aliens along the way.

The kids make it to Paris and search for Caspar (Billy Barratt) in an abandoned hospital. Mitsuki (Shioli Kutsuna) continues her experiments by communicating with the alien being.

The first subplot is set in Wyoming. Aneesha and the Movement head towards Camp Pierce, steadily making their way through the fog in a convoy. Luke suddenly hears those pesky alien voices again. It is a warning sign; the aliens are close by.

The aliens suddenly appear through the fog and attack. The convoy panics, and Clark swerves to avoid a roadblock, but he ends up flipping the car fully over instead. When the passengers escape from the crashed vehicle, they notice that Clark is badly injured.

Eventually, all of the survivors are reunited. They head back to the convoy on foot. Luke soon hears the alien voices again. Danger is coming. The gang is attacked once more, this time on foot. They run away from the aliens, with random members of the Movement being picked off one by one.

The survivors make it back to the parked cars, but one of the mother’s daughters has gone missing. Aneesha doesn’t hesitate. She heads back into the fog alone. She quickly finds the girl and returns. But they are stopped from fleeing by one rogue alien.

What are Luke’s powers over the aliens?

Luke steps up, shouting at the alien to let them go. The alien miraculously listens to Luke’s orders as if in a trance. It allows Aneesha and the girl to pass unharmed. They are dragged back onto a truck, and the humans flee. Breaking from its trance, the alien chases after them again, but the cars manage to speed away just in time.

Meanwhile, in Paris, Jamila and the other kids roam the abandoned city streets. It appears that the local area has been evacuated, and no one is in sight. The kids decide to head to Monty’s parents’ apartment to lay low for the night.

Monty’s discovery

Monty is heartbroken to discover that this apartment is a love shack for his father and mistress. Monty’s dad was having an affair whilst away on business in Paris. Jamila tries to comfort Monty, who is hurt by this unfortunate revelation.

Jamila worries that she is losing her connection with Caspar, but the kids carry on to the hospital regardless. They search the abandoned building, splitting up to cover more ground. Alfie finds dead soldiers, and Monty finds paperwork with Caspar’s name on it but nothing else. Jamila worries that Caspar may be dead.

In the third subplot, Mitsuki is examined after her last encounter with the alien. She believes that she saw inside the alien’s mind and wants to research further. Maya is worried that Mitsuki is being pushed too hard, though. But Nikhil wants her to continue with her research nonetheless.

Maya conducts another baseline therapy session with Mitsuki first. Mitsuki starts to forget the odd thing. Maya presses Mitsuki, asking her about Hinata. This causes Mitsuki to grow frustrated, and she storms off, unwilling to dissect her relationship any further.

What does the alien show Mitsuki?

Mitsuki goes back in and meets with the alien once again. The alien uses Hinata’s voice to communicate with Mitsuki. It tells Mitsuki to take off her mask and then it connects with the human. It puts Mitsuki into a trance. She is shown a vision, which is placed directly into one of Hinata’s childhood memories. Hinata says that she still loves Mitsuki and that she wants to be with her again.

Outside of the trance, Maya panics, and Mitsuki’s hand tremors appear to be worsening. But it is, in fact, just Morse code. Mitsuki is sending them a secret message. She spells out the word magnet. The team then turns on the electromagnets, which instantly upsets the alien.

Mitsuki wakes from her trance but then immediately collapses as the alien screams in pain. Later, Mitsuki wakes from the incident, having been removed from the research room unscathed.

The team recorded the frequencies from the scream. Mitsuki listens to the sounds. She believes that this is the alien communicating with her. Mitsuki wants to learn the language to communicate back and discover the alien’s weaknesses.

Is Caspar alive at the end of Invasion Season 2, Episode 6?

The episode concludes in Paris. The kids wander the hospital, feeling dejected and dismayed. They hear a strange sound and find Caspar drawing on a wall. He has managed to hide from the aliens, having awoken from his coma during the attack. Caspar and Jamila hug one another, ready to take on the aliens again.
