A decent episode sets the scene for the finale.
Setting up the Season 1 finale, Destined with You Episode 15 largely focused on Sin-yu’s relationship with Hong-jo, as well as Se-heon’s divorce from Yoon-joo (that now looks a lot less likely to happen). Of course, there was a cliffhanger ending to lead into the final installment too, a device not uncommon in the K-Drama world.

What does Se-heon say about his son’s relationship?
After sharing a night together, Sin-yu and Hong-jo wake up to a dilemma when the former’s parents arrive at his door. The civil servant opts to introduce herself rather than hide, however, only to end up receiving a dressing down from Se-heon. “I can’t approve this,” he then says of his son’s relationship.
As Yoon-joo again pushes for a divorce, fed up with Se-heon’s attitude, Hong-jo returns home. There, she is greeted by the landlady and Jae-gyeong, before Sin-yu ends up being introduced as the civil servant’s boyfriend.
At work, Hong-jo is brought up to speed regarding Eun-young’s relationship with Seo-goo, which includes her fight with Seung-yeon over him. Amidst all of this, Sae-byeol decides she “will never give up on” Jae-gyeong.
What action does Jae-gyeong take regarding Sin-yu?
While Jae-gyeong, on behalf of the Mayor, starts attempting to persuade Sin-yu to resign from City Hall, Yoon-joo officially kickstarts divorce proceedings against her husband. She gets the support of her son too, leaving Se-heon alone to read the “verbal abuse” evidence first presented to him by Kim Wook.

Meeting with Jae-gyeong, Hyun-seo tries to get the advisor on his side, likely so Haum can secure that the development of Mount Onju will be theirs to do. And, judging by how both subsequently speak to Sin-yu, it looks as though they may well have joined hands.
As Eun-young runs away from Seo-goo’s public marriage proposal, Hong-jo is invited to a meal with Sin-yu and his mother. It goes well too, with Yoon-joo hitting it off with the civil servant, and spotting some similarities in themselves.
Is Yoon-joo divorcing her husband?
Returning home, Yoon-joo tells Se-heon that despite his apologies, their divorce will only be postponed until he’s able to “overcome this crisis” with his company. With that being said, the two do seem closer to reconciliation here.
At a gathering, Hong-jo arrives to tell Na-yeon to stop “harassing” Sin-yu through the Mayor, and says her piece about the video (now revealed to be staged) back in their school days relating to Min-ho’s kiss, and the apparent boyfriend “stealing.” That, and the civil servant acquires a video of her adversary threatening to “tear apart both Sin-yu and Bawoo.”

After an intimate night together with Hong-jo, Sin-yu is awoken by Eun-wol’s phone call, one in which she tells him of a conception dream she had that would see a daughter be born. Then, we move to City Hall, where the civil servant goes missing following a conversation with Sam-sik, causing alert to her partner.
As Sin-yu rushes to find his partner, the episode ends with Jung-beom turning around to look at a seemingly unconscious Hong-jo.
