Bosch Legacy Season 2 Episode 1 Recap

The season begins with us seeing how Maddie was kidnapped. A man in a wrestling mask attempted to grab her but was met with massive resistance as the two came to blows. However, the masked man gets the best of her, knocks her out, and takes her out of the house.

Harry calls the FBI team in to inform them that Maddie is missing. Although no longer an agent, Bosch speaks to Detective Edgar and Bennett, but after being overly aggressive, Capt. Seals tells him to go home.

Is the body at the coroner’s office Maddie?

Harry gets a call from a Coroner who tells him that a body has turned up, and it fits the description of Maddie. Upon arriving, Harry takes the sheet off the body — it isn’t Maddie. Although happy it wasn’t her, Harry falls to his knees outside in tears.

Harry heads to talk to Chandler about Maddie being gone. Chandler tells Harry that she was over there the night before she was taken, and Harry asks if she saw anything unusual. She said a man was smoking outside the place but thought the man lived there. Harry calls Detective Jerry to let him know and to be on the lookout on the cameras for him.

Who is the serial killer?

We see our serial killer call Detective Pete, and they discuss some information regarding the case. He addresses himself as Kurt, and we find out he is a city inspector named Kurt Dockweiler.

Detective Edgar and Bennett head to the city inspector’s house to visit him. However, when they get there, he isn’t inside. Before leaving, Detective Edgar sees that he smokes and takes one of the butts on the ground with him. Kurt drove by the house as the detectives were leaving.

After Chandler speaks to the sketch artist, the artist brings the drawing to Detective Edgar. He looked at it and went to the footage of Maddie talking to Kurt, putting two and two together that he might be their guy. Harry presses Edgar for his address and reluctantly tells him, and Edgar warns him to be gone before the cops get there.

Harry arrives at Kurt’s house, and he is still there. As Harry searches, we see Kurt wisely sneak out the back door to escape him. As the cops are about to raid his place, Detective Edgar informs Harry that Kurt Dockweiler has turned himself in.
