Love on the Spectrum U.S. introduced us to Abbey and David in the first season of the show, and the pair have become a favorite pairing for fans of the series. The couple would meet on the first season of the show, and a date at the zoo would cement the fact that they both love animals, with David particularly interested in the lions. David would give Abbey a bracelet on the date and suggest a holiday to Africa sometime in the future.
The second date was also animal-themed, with the couple visiting an animal sanctuary, and David giving another gift to his date, this time an elephant-themed present, and a hat. This led to holding hands, a kiss on the cheek, and Abbey introducing David to her pet dog while going to the beach.
Abbey would invite David to spend Christmas together, and the African experience would come to fruition in 2022. It seems that this particular pairing is destined to succeed, and they both understand each other, making this beautiful television for fans of the show.

It is easy for reviewers and commentators to be cynical and abrupt when dealing with reality TV shows, and as far as writing goes, these types of shows can be low-hanging fruit for writers to hang a few cheap jibes on, myself included. But every now and then a show like Love on the Spectrum presents a more grounded and thoughtful look at the world around us and reminds us that there is often more going on in real life than we get the chance to experience ourselves.
Gaining an insight into two beautiful people like Abbey and David can be life-affirming and spiritually elevating, reminding us that true love does exist and that sometimes we all need help in getting to where we need to be.
