Under the Bridge | April 17
Lily Gladstone and Riley Keough star in this adaptation of Rebecca Godfrey’s true crime book. The plot revolves around the murder of a 14-year-old girl and the subsequent investigation, which reveals many startling truths. Keough plays Godfrey herself, while Gladstone assumes the role of a local police officer investigating the case.
The Veil | April 30
Elisabeth Moss headlines this weekly drama about a globetrotting cat-and-mouse game between two women, one of whom has a secret that might prove deadly to thousands.
You can usually take Moss’s involvement as an indicator of a project’s quality, and there has been no shortage of prominent marketing suggesting that FX and Hulu are putting a lot of eggs in this basket. One to watch.
Top Anime Pick
The Fable (Season 1) | April 6
Based on an extremely popular manga series, The Fable follows a feared underworld assassin who is suddenly instructed by his overlords to hide out as a regular citizen, banned from attacking or killing anyone for an entire year.
It’s a pretty big month for anime on Hulu. Alongside The Fable, the complete season of Ishura will be available, and several new shows will also debut, including GO! GO! Loser Ranger! and Mission: Yozakura Family on April 7, and Sand Land: The Series on April 10.
