Highlights of the Month
Rebel Moon: Part 2 — The Scargiver | April 19
The marquee release of the month on Netflix is without question Part 2 of Zack Snyder’s sci-fi fantasy epic, Rebel Moon. After the first film’s ending, the sequel finds Kora and the other survivors preparing to defend Veldt from a vengeful Realm.
The first film was not especially well-received critically but was a major hit with fans, and anticipation for the sequel is extremely high.
RIPLEY (Limited Series) | April 4
Andrew Scott (Fleabag) stars in this limited series about a grifter who is hired by a wealthy family to find a wayward playboy son. However, he enters a world of privilege that he can only survive by building an increasingly intricate web of lies.
Scott’s work on Fleabag did not go on unnoticed, evidently, and his current reputation is perfectly suited to this reinterpretation of The Talented Mr. Ripley, adapted from Patricia Highsmith’s famous books. All eight episodes of RIPLEY will be available to stream on release day, and the entire production is in black and white.

Parasyte: The Grey (Season 1) | April 5

Netflix remains the primary platform for high-quality Korean drama, and the stand-out from April 2024 is Parasyte: The Grey, an adaptation of the popular manga Parasyte about a group of humans waging war against parasitic lifeforms with one goal — to spread as far as possible.
The show will have six episodes and stars Jeon So Nee as Jeong Su-in, Koo Kyo Hwan as Seol Kang Woo, and Jung Hyun Lee as Choi Jun-Kyung.

What Jennifer Did | April 10
This documentary feature explores the chilling true crime case of a Vietnamese immigrant family who were targeted seemingly at random by gunmen who left only their daughter Jennifer unharmed. However, the case is a very tangled web of deception, and things are absolutely not as they seem.
This is the kind of true crime feature that will really get its hooks into a mainstream audience, and it’s exactly the kind of thing we can see sitting at the top of Netflix’s most-watched section for a few weeks at least.
