If you’re wondering, Episode 8 will repeat the format of previous episodes by revealing the outcome of Quest 3. This is the big selling-point quest of the season thus far, themed around the giant underground mine that the studio was built to resemble.
The last we saw, Lee Jae-yoon’s team was doing well, but there was last-minute drama with Heong Beom-seok pulling a fast one, and the ultimate outcome of Round 4 is still unclear. This is where Episode 8 will start, and the outcome will determine the next two teams who proceed in the competition. This will leave 20 remaining players.

Just like the first season, Physical: 100 Season 2 has nine episodes, meaning that the season will conclude with the release of Episodes 8 & 9. This also means that an ultimate winner will be declared in the final episodes.
The playing field will be whittled down considerably in the latter half of Episode 8 and all of Episode 9. If Season 2 mimics the structure of Season 1, Quest 4 will involve multiple games to bring down the total number of contestants from 20 to 5. Then, it is likely that Quest 5 will pit the final five contestants against each other to determine a winner.
