After what was arguably the best episode of the season, Queen of Tears will hit the ground running in Episodes 13 & 14. The heroes finally got the upper hand, but the battle against Eun-sung and Seul-hee seems far from over, and that’s to say nothing of Hae-in’s ever-worsening health.
What can be predicted with absolute certainty is that Queen of Tears is shaping up to be one of the most popular K-Dramas ever. Viewership numbers are astronomical for tvN and Netflix both, and the audience has completely bought into the characters and story. Based on recent reactions, it’s the characters in particular who’re really capturing imaginations.
Show Me The Money
Episode 12 ended with the Hong family finding the now-dead Chairman’s secret stash. But what will this copious wealth amount to?
The logical answer, I think, is it’ll pay for Hae-in some kind of expensive and miraculous treatment that’ll somehow save her life. Throughout the entirety of the season, Hae-in’s mortality has loomed over proceedings, and it has seemed like the only feasible ending is her death — probably just as she and Hyun-woo reconcile.
For whatever reason, I’m starting to believe there will be a happier conclusion, and this money may just be the next step towards that. Speaking of which…
Hae-in and Hyun-woo Will End Up Together — And Happy
I think this is a foregone conclusion at this point. After the business with the ring and such, and everything they’ve been through together fighting against a common enemy, Hae-in and Hyun-woo are obviously destined to be together. But for how long?
This is the key question relating to the above. Since I don’t think Hae-in will bite it by the end of the season, by extension I think that she and Hyun-woo will not only reconcile but flourish together, having learned so much about each other during this process.
I also think that the time the two families have spent together will forge a tight bond between them and the entire family will be a united front moving forward. Or maybe I’m just a romantic.
Hyun-woo Saved Hae-in As A Child
In Episode 12, Eun-sung made up a load of rubbish about having saved Hae-in from drowning as a child. In the epilogue, we learned it was actually Hyun-woo that did this.
It’s only right that the truth of this comes up again later and helps to strengthen the bond between the leads, which obviously extends all the way back to when they were children. It’s fate!
Queen of Tears Episodes 13 & 14 Release Date and Where to Watch
Queen of Tears Season 1 Episode 13 will be released on Netflix on April 20, 2024. The usual release time is 3:00 pm (BST), but sometimes this varies. Queen of Tears Season 1 Episode 14 will air at the same time the next day, April 21. Each episode has an approximate runtime of around 60-80 minutes.
