Peacock continues to flesh out its diverse library in May 2024 with a slew of new licensed and original additions. NBC’s streaming platform continues to stand out thanks to its reality content and live events, exemplified here by stuff like the 2024 Kentucky Derby and this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
As ever, the first of the month represents the biggest drop of new additions, with many, many new movies and shows arriving on the platform. Original content is spread out across the subsequent weeks of May.

Highlight of the Month
The Tattooist of Auschwitz | May 2
This six-episode original series tells the horrifying true story of Lale Sokolov, the Jewish prisoner tasked with tattooing ID numbers on prisoners’ arms in the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp.
Based on the same-titled novel, reviews are flooding in for the TV adaptation already. Some are describing it as slow and saccharine, but the general consensus seems to be that this is a powerful and important reminder of the Holocaust that shouldn’t be underestimated.
Either way, it’s by far the biggest original release on Peacock this month.

We all know how reality shows have a tendency to absolutely dominate the cultural conversation when a concept really takes hole, and Love Undercover seems like it might be the next big hit in the genre.
The premise sees five professional footballers looking for love in the U.S., competing for the affection of a pool of 18 women who have no idea who they are. The idea of footballers is a bit overplayed here given they’re all retirees or not especially well-known or successful, but there’s definitely mileage in the premise and there is every chance the concept could take off in a big way.
