Apple TV+ Release Schedule and Full Slate Breakdown
via Apple TV+

As usual, Apple TV+’s release slate in June 2024 is very limited compared to its streaming rivals. However, that doesn’t mean it should be overlooked, since the platform focuses on quality over quantity (usually) and is the only place still really embracing the classic weekly format. This month is a good capsule summary of the Apple TV+ approach, with compelling original shows with big-name casts providing the appeal.

I’ve rounded up the entire original slate for you all, but unlike our other streaming guides, I’ve instead broken down every release in a bit more detail. Aren’t I good to you?

Be sure to bookmark this page, as it will be updated regularly as new information becomes available.

Everything Coming to Apple TV+ in June 2024

Presumed Innocent | June 12

Apple TV+’s marquee attraction in June is the Jake Gyllenhaal-fronted drama Presumed Innocent.

Adapted from Scott Turow’s 1984 New York Times best-selling novel of the same name, the eight-part series finds Gyllenhaal’s character, chief deputy prosecutor Rožat “Rusty” Sabich, accused of a murder he claims not to have committed.

The cast is ridiculous here, with Ruth Negga, Bill Camp, Peter Sarsgaard and Lily Rabe starring alongside Gyllenhaal, who is an executive producer alongside JJ Abrams.

Directed by Sahra Mani, Bread and Roses follows three women in Afghanistan as they try to retain their autonomy and rights following the Taliban’s occupation of Kabul in 2021.

This looks set to be a vital work of non-fiction shining a light on the underrepresented women in the grip of a tyrannical regime. Not one to be missed.

Land of Women | June 26

Eva Longoria stars in this dramedy about three generations of women who’re forced to flee to rural Spain to avoid the dangerous men chasing Longoria’s character’s husband.

Longoria plays Gala, who had a life in New York until her husband’s improprieties caught up with him. The town she ends up in with her mother and daughter just so happens to be the same one that her mother fled from 50 years prior. It’s a story of past, present, family, and femininity that should pick up a sizeable audience during its weekly rollout.

WondLa | June 28

Every good streaming platform needs an animated family adventure, and Apple TV+ is delivering one in June in the form of WondLa.

This animated feature follows sixteen-year-old Eva and her robot caretaker Muthr. Having grown up in a technologically advanced bunker, she emerges into an alien world devoid of humans but rich with extraterrestrial flora and fauna.

WondLa sounds like a classic family feature for everyone to enjoy.

Fancy Dance | June 28

A heartfelt exploration of the life of Indigenous women, Fancy Dance stars Academy Award-nominee Lily Gladstone as Jax, who has been caring for her niece on the Seneca-Cayuga reservation in Oklahoma ever since her mother, Jax’s sister, mysteriously disappeared.

The movie entwines Jax’s investigation into her sister’s disappearance with Jax helping Roki prepare for an upcoming powwow, weaving a complex and multifaceted narrative offering an important and distinct perspective.
