WARNING: THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS

There are two primary focuses in Virgin River Season 6, Episode 7.

  1. The rekindling of Mel and Everett’s relationship.
  2. The Days after Brady and Brie cheated

HOW DO MEL AND EVERETT REKINDLE THEIR RELATIONSHIP?

Mel drives to Everett’s house and apologizes for the pressure and stress she has put on their relationship. She tells Everett that he doesn’t have to be at the wedding or perform the song, but she vulnerably expresses that she wants to get to know him.

Everett admits he can’t play the song he wrote for Sarah at Mel’s wedding because he never finished it. He does, however, know of another way that Mel can honor her mum at her wedding.

So Mel and Everett jump into the car, and off they go – on their little family adventure.

On their way to this secret place, Mel and Everett encounter a crumbling rock hill. Passengers are hurt and stuck in their cars. Mel and Everett help until the fire department and medics arrive.

As Doc arrives, irritated that Everett is there, he lashes out at Mel. However, he does remain professional with her. Once everything is done and dusted, Doc resents Mel and Everett. He is scared for her but is incapable of expressing that in a healthy way.

DO BRADY AND BRIE CONFESS THEIR ONE-NIGHT AFFAIR?

After pretending like nothing has happened, Brie finally admits that she has cheated on Mike, with Brady, to Jack. *SIGH* He is not the person we want her to tell—hello, tell it to Mike, who deserves to know.

I digress; by the end of the episode, Brie implies that she knows what she wants, and that’s Mike. “I love him,” she tells Jack. But how can we be expected to be delighted for Brie? I certainly wasn’t.
So yes, Brie confesses, just not to the right person.

After the night in question, Brady is confused about where Brie’s head is – obviously, he wants to be with her, and that would be Brady’s first choice. Quiet and reserved, Kaia pokes and prods at Brady about what’s on his mind. Long story short, she pretty much guesses, and he admits that he slept with Brie.

Following this, Kaia is forced into a situation at Jack’s Bar, where she drinks and talks with Preacher, Brie, and Mike, knowing what she knows.

So again, yes, Brady confesses, just not to the right person.

Throughout the episode, Brady is adamant that he’s done with Lark and doesn’t trust her—rightly so, as she was trying to steal his money. However, she did end up falling in love with him and backed out of her plan. Brady decides to TRY and give Lark a second chance.

However, Brady forgets to mention that even though he was bound to break up with her, he cheated on her upon finding out what she had been doing. If Brady wants an honest relationship with Lark, why is he not confessing his sins to her? These are the moments that make me want to boycott Virgin River.

DOC AND MEL

We close Season 6, Episode 7, with a heartbreaking argument between Doc and Mel. We know they will both regret it, though they will make up for it.

Mel visits Doc to find out what’s going on with him. A resistant Doc pushes Mel away. Mel understandably fights back, but we know what happens when someone fights back against Doc. There’s no coming back at that moment.

“You’re not my daughter. You’re just… my nurse. And if I do remember correctly, you… Well, you’re not even on the schedule for today, so what the hell are you still doing here?”

OUUCH!!
