Bon Appetit, Your Majesty is, and I don’t say this lightly, possibly the most quintessentially “K-Drama” K-Drama that ever did K-Drama.

Is someone working on Beyond the Bar reading these recaps? It feels like it sometimes.

There’s something quite charming and simplistic about the mythological setup of Twelve, the anticipated Disney+ K-Drama based on zodiac signs about a dozen angels living among the humans of Korea and protecting them from an ancient evil.

Maybe it’s just me, but I think Beyond the Bar works better without a romantic component between the leads.

Since the very beginning, The Winning Try has been a superb show, but here in Episode 10, it reaches its zenith. Several developing subplots intertwine for a key cliffhanger, but that comes after several beautiful character moments.

The battle lines are being drawn in Episode 2 of The Rainmaker. Sure, you can make the case that they were already drawn in the premiere, but it’s nice to see everyone’s cards out on the table.

The Winning Try's sudden pivot into more serious and compelling drama continues apace in Episode 9, a brilliant hour dense with interlocking subplots and heightening stakes.

Peacemaker is back for Season 2, and not just back, but back into a new DC Universe.

Dexter Morgan kills bad guys. He’s pretty particular about it, so it’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking about Dex as if he’s a good guy.

The most apt description of any episode of Invasion generally begins with, "Not much happened, but...". This holds true in the Season 3 premiere, "The Ones We Leave Behind", which has the unenviable task of setting up a new status quo after the Season 2 finale.

There isn't a great deal that happens in Episode 5 of Chief of War, but there's a tremendous amount implied, which is sometimes more important.

There's no vehicular combat in Episodes 8 & 9 of Twisted Metal Season 2, which, for an adaptation of a video game franchise built entirely around vehicular combat, seems a tad concerning.

“Metamorphosis” is defined as a transformational change, often from an immature form to an adult one, so despite conjuring images of butterflies bursting from chrysalises, as far as Alien: Earth is concerned, it applies less to the Xenomorphs and more to the Lost Boys.

One suspects that Episode 2 is the showpiece hour of The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox.

There's a surprisingly light touch to the earliest portions of The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox, Hulu's adaptation of Knox’s 2013 memoir, Waiting to Be Heard.

I think Season 2 is making me hate Platonic a little bit. It's a weird thing to say because it remains a well-made show with a handful of very funny lines, and Rose Byrne is especially great in Episode 4, "Fore!", but I'm so, so sick of Will.

Consent is never a simple subject, and it’s the rare show that can do it justice without dipping into uncomfortable territory.

“Out of the frying pan and into the fire” comes to mind when watching Episode 7 of The Institute.
