If you asked me to design an episode of Poppa's House that perfectly exemplified all of the show's myriad issues, it'd look a lot like Episode 11, "Dirty Laundry".

Is anybody there? Has the gap between the decent premiere of The Hunting Party and Episode 2, “Clayton Jessup”, been so needlessly big that everybody has forgotten this show exists?

The title of Paradise Episode 5 is taken from a line in Darkness, the hauntingly beautiful Lord Byron poem that bookends this solemn chapter of what is becoming the best TV show of a still-young year.

Given I’m professionally obligated to persist with shows long beyond their expiration dates, it isn’t a new feeling to be almost resentful of the time I spend with When the Stars Gossip.

Remarkably, as of Episode 11, there are still five episodes of When the Stars Gossip remaining. What on earth are they going to be about?

“Woe’s Hollow” is a surprisingly horror-tinged masterclass of a Severance episode, and the best of Season 2 thus far by a margin.

Unmasked continues to be a confounding show in Episodes 7 & 8, and it remains difficult to know what to make of it

It was obvious from the double-bill premiere that Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man was a pretty good show, but Episodes 3, 4, & 5 really make it clear.

While these characters gain little from their quest for purpose in Mythic Quest Season 4, Episode 3, they at least try.

Episode 12, “Partners”, proves that the show is much more interesting when it’s using that as a starting point for meaningful character development.

With a remarkable lack of self-awareness, Apple TV+’s impressively boring thriller Prime Target bases Episode 4, “Kaplar”, around a twist so laughably obvious that when it was eventually deployed as a last-minute cliffhanger, I laughed out loud.

Episode 10 of Poppa’s House is so close to being a decent episode that the fact it remains pretty rubbish is genuinely frustrating.

“It’s the not knowing.” This is a line repeated a few times in Season 1, Episode 4 of Paradise. In context, it’s about the difficulties...

As expected, Episode 10 of When the Stars Gossip brings the action back down to earth but makes some extremely questionable decisions when we get there.

I’ve been a vocal critic of Mayfair Witches Season 2 and, to be fair, I still think it’s a bit rubbish. But Episode 5, “The Thrall”, was okay!

As of Episode 9, When the Stars Gossip has pretty much lost me. It’s a shame, really, since there have been so many glimmers of potential that the fact the K-Drama doesn’t seem to be cohering into anything feels like a waste.

I haven’t exactly been coy about not knowing quite what to make of Unmasked, and I was more undecided than ever throughout most of Episodes 5 and 6 until a late twist at the end of the latter gave the Disney+ K-Drama a jolt of energy.

Severance has always been about a very stark dichotomy; innie versus outie, work versus home, truth versus well-sculpted simulation.
