Fix You episode 4 is nowhere near the best chapter so far but it signals an important message regarding mental health.
This recap of K-drama series Fix You episode 4 contains significant spoilers.
How does Fix You episode 4 begin?
Chang Dong Il is making improvements so Lee Ji Soon takes him to the rooftop and they see Han Woo Joo. She tells Chang Dong Il that she hopes he becomes a real police officer one day and she looks to jump off the roof. He collapses in tears and apologizes, admitting he isn’t a police officer.
Lee Si Joon is grateful for her help — she was acting. I’m sure this would not be allowed in a real mental health hospital environment.
Has Lee Si Joon started diagnosing Han Woo Joo?
Han Woo Joo doesn’t think she’s a patient and she gets angry and leaves the hospital. Lee Si Joon thinks her symptoms mean something else and he questions the impact of her career meltdown and recent break-up.
Han Woo Joo heads to the beach and screams into the sea to let out her emotions — this was a real show of emotion in Fix You episode 4.
What’s happening with Chang Dong Il?
Chang Dong Il is not prosecuted for impersonating a police officer due to his delusions and the charges are dismissed. He then does not admit himself as a patient and he’s willing to go alone to overcome his problems — Lee Si Joon is really proud of him and is happy that his off-the-cuff methods have worked.
How does Fix You episode 4 end?
Lee Si Joon and Han Woo Joo meet at a cafe. He tells her that due to her help, Chang Dong Il was not prosecuted.
Lee Si Joon mentions footballer Oh Yoo Min so they go watch him train — apparently, the footballer is an admirer of Han Woo Joo.
Oh Yoo Min starts thinking he’s injured again so Lee Si Joon and Han Woo Joo start chanting his name for encouragement — he scores and everyone celebrates.
Han Woo Joo realizes that it was all a lie that Oh Yoo Min is a fan but after feeling cheered up by the football training, she calls him a good doctor. He asks her if she’d like him to help her and states she is ill, not crazy — an important message regarding mental health to end Fix You episode 4.
