We are back to the elevator from the end of episode 5 — Min-kyung is anxious around a man with a helmet and clings on to Hwi-oh. As the unknown man walks past them, he puts on a cloak and calls himself Ladle Man — he greets his children in his apartment. When the moment passes, Hwi-oh tells Min-kyung that he will teach her proper self-defense. The next day, Hwi-oh teaches her some moves. Eventually, she understands a few moves. Hwi-oh then teaches her how to run, and Min-kyung screams as she runs as fast as she can. However, Hwi-oh is stopped by bystanders as they believe she is attacking her. She finds it amusing and runs away again.

Hwi-oh has a hunch about Yang

As they make their way home, Min-kyung tells Hwi-oh that she hopes he gets reinstated as he makes a decent cop. She then asks Hwi-oh why he used honorifics with the store worker, but he doesn’t with her. As they plan to eat together, Hwi-oh receives a call, so he has to bail on her. He heads out with an ex-colleague — he wonders why the local precinct cannot capture Yang themselves — he suddenly realizes that every time they get close to catching Yang, the headquarters get involved.

Relive the moment Min-kyung and Hwi-oh keep running into each other:

A jealous Min-kyung

And it seems Min-kyung is showing that she’s caught strong feelings between Hwi-oh in episode 6.

While out walking, Hwi-oh sees Samantha, the man who cross-dresses and walks with him arm in arm and talks about life. Min-kyung sees them both, and she looks obviously jealous. So Samantha decides to make Min-kyung more jealous, and they continue walking. Hwi-oh finds Min-kyung after, and she’s lecturing her dog for not guarding her. He asks about dinner, but she’s suddenly defensive and brings up the woman he was walking with earlier. Hwi-oh tells her she has gotten the wrong idea — he assures her, and she walks off.

Court letter

While sorting out the house, someone from the post office knocks on Min-kyung’s door. She has a letter from the court. It’s a notice of deposit for a criminal case. The depositor is Lee Seon-oh. She rings the court, and she explains she never agreed to settle. Min-kyung is dismayed that they have her new address, but the officer on the phone tells her that Lee Seon-ho must have found her address another way.

The ending

The apartment committee gets together, and they want to think of a new name for the block. Hwi-oh frowns at the suggestion, and he is berated. Min-kyung brings her suggestions for apartment names, and they are impressed. She then says they should improve apartment security and redo the painting to raise the value of their apartments.

Afterward, Min-kyung tells Hwi-oh that she cares about the value of the apartments because she is leaving and wants her key deposit. She tells him that he told her to run away if she’s in danger. As the episode ends, Min-kyung is nervous in her apartment and looks at the front door. When she looks at who is outside her door, there’s the postman from earlier. Suddenly, he tries to get in.

Mad for Each Other episode 6 establishes a close friendship — from enemies to friends. However, it’s not all plain and simple as Min-kyung’s past starts to catch up to her.
