Summary
Episode 2 sees a much-needed form of closure for Ella whilst there’s a possible danger for Lucifer. But who on earth (or Hell) is this female that seems set on killing Lucifer?

Lucifer season 6, episode 2 recap
Amenadiel informs Lucifer that his return to heaven has got requested. But Lucifer isn’t ready yet, so he turns to Linda. He wants Linda to tell him what he needs to do to become God. After a quick discussion, Lucifer decides that he must help someone who he doesn’t like.
Ella and Carol (who she may or may not fancy) bond as they investigate another murder. This time, the cause of death is a high heel to the neck. Lucifer arrives after deciding that he will help Carol. After Carol confesses that he desires to have someone to spend the rest of his life with, Lucifer mistakes Carol for wanting sex. Ella visits Chloe; she fears that Carol may be like her serial killer ex Pete Daily. Their solution? To stalk Carol.
As the murder investigation unfolds, Lucifer tries to set Carol up with the suspects. But when Lucifer learns that Carol is interested in Ella, Lucifer sets about to transform Carol into Ella’s dream man. In hell, a mysterious woman (Brianna Hildebrand), who isn’t a damned soul or a demon but has wings, pays a visit to Michael. But with Michael trapped in hell and with his wings cut off, he’s unable to help her. But she does learn that there was a human who shot Lucifer (aka Dan).
In Lux, Carol tries to impress Ella by being a “bad boy” (Lucifer’s doing). It doesn’t work, and in fact, Ella trusts him even less now. But after she and Lucifer break into his place, it at first appears that she may just be normal. Yay! That is until they find a human-sized trunk. So they break into the trunk and find a bottle of alcohol. Ella realizes that Carol must be a recovering alcoholic.
But Carol is in serious danger now as he has figured out that Niles is the killer. But with Lucifer and Ella arriving, they learn that Niles believed that because his ex cheated on him, they thought his current boyfriend was. Luckily, Ella and Carol go supercop on Niles, and after, he gets arrested. Obviously, after hearing Niles’s speech, Ella realizes that Carol won’t be like Pete.
The ending
Loving the super strength that Amenadiel’s necklace brings her, Chloe picks a fight with Maze. Ella meets with Carol and apologies for her actions, and promises not to break into his flat again. They then watch Supercop together. In hell, the mysterious non-demon visits Dan. After informing him that Lucifer could have flown Dan to earth, she offers to fly him up.
Even worse news for Lucifer is that as he helped Carol, he has started to like him which makes his original plan fail. Episode 2 ends as a living frog falls onto Ella’s car.
