Locke & Key season 2, episode 6 recap
Picking up exactly where episode 5 finished, Gabe is at the Keyhouse until Tyler and Kinsey make an excuse for him to leave. But the question now remains, is Gabe angry at being chucked out, or is he growing suspicious of Kinsey? With Gabe gone, Tyler turns the conversation back to Dodge. As they didn’t push Dodge into the black hole as they believed, they realise that they must have pushed Ellie into the black hole.
Later, Duncan and Bode chase the sound of whispering, which leads them to some cassettes. And as expected, they find another key; the Chain Key. Meanwhile, Eden is paid a visit from her Mom, who has swung by for Winterfest. Now armed with his previous memories, Duncan speaks with Erin. Erin, however, states that she won’t leave Matherson until Dodge has been taken care of. Feeling sorry for her, Duncan tells her to live her life and not continue to be trapped after spending so many years trapped in her own mind. But once the conversation is over, Erin hides a key in a draw.
With Gabe seemingly unaware that Kinsey is aware that he is Dodge, he promises that he’ll always be there for her. Kinsey looks as though she may be physically sick. Once again, Jackie tells Tyler that she doesn’t want to keep magic within her life. Instead, she wants a normal life.
The ending
Erin leaves a letter, revealing that she lied about the Chain Key and is on a solo mission to finally get rid of Dodge. During a funfair, Erin traps Gabe and attempts to transport him back to the Wellhouse. It looks as though she may actually succeed. But then, Eden appears and punches Erin. Erin tries to speak to Lucas, asking him to remember who he once was. But her attempts are futile, and Gabe kills her.
Eden attempts to convince Gabe that if Erin knew who he was, then the others, i.e. Kinsey, Tyler and Bode, must know. Gabe, however, doesn’t believe that Kinsey would lie to him. Just then, Kinsey calls Gabe. She reveals that the memory key works, and she invites him to come over the next day.
