Summary
Another brilliant episode from the second season of Tehran. There’s certainly a lot for Tamar to lose in this episode as the audience is made to wonder whether Milad will survive his time in prison.

Tehran season 2, episode 5 recap
With Milad now in prison, Yulia plans on killing him as she fears that he will break during interrogation. Marjan tries to reassure Tamar that it won’t happen; even so, Marjan tells her guard not to allow Tamar out of the apartment. And somewhat making Tamar’s efforts in the previous episode pointless, it has been decided that poison will be used to kill the General instead of the explosive phone.
Nahid calls Faraz, and despite protests from Hossein, Faraz answers it. Tamar decides to call Vahid and asks him to help get Milad out of prison. In prison, Milad gets threatened with five years of imprisonment as Yulia’s guard prepares to kill him. Once Tamar knocks out Marjan’s guard and sneaks out of the apartment, Vahid picks her up (nice timing). And in return for using his social power to get Milad out of prison, Vahid has Tamar cancel her tennis date with Peyman.
The ending
Milad gets framed, and the lead officer says that Milad will be handed over to intelligence. Just as Yulia’s guard goes to kill Milad, Vahid successfully has Milad released. But as they leave the police station, Tamar learns from the prison officer that it was Vahid who set Milad up. Furious with what she has learned, Tamar tells Vahid never to contact her again. Tamar and Milad leave, picked up by Marjan’s agent posing as a taxi driver.
Later on in the episode, Tamar visits Peyman and tells him that it was Vahid who set up her brother. She apologizes for canceling the date and hopes that they can move forwards as planned. Meanwhile, Faraz goes to Vahid for advice on Peyman (just what is Faraz up to?) As Tamar uses her date with Peyman as a way to spray poison on the General’s tennis bat, Faraz heads closer to Tamar and Peyman’s location.
When Faraz arrives at the tennis court, he receives a call from who he believes is Nahid. In reality, it is Marjan calling him. She subtly reveals that she is an agent, and warns Faraz that if he does not allow the tennis to go ahead as planned, there will be huge danger imposed on Nahid. In the closing moments, Faraz spots Tamar with Peyman. So what will Faraz do? Do you think he’ll let the tennis match go ahead?
