Now and Then season 1, episode 6 recap

Pedro visits Ernesto in prison. Ernesto tells Pedro to get him out of there. But for now, it seems that there is nothing he can do. On the drive home, Ana tells Pedro that had it not been for her, it would be him sitting inside that prison cell.

Sofia argues with Daniela over involving Hugo in their blackmail scheme. Marcos’ father tells him that Isabel loves him very much, and if Marcos takes responsibility, they could work things out. Flora’s superior, Lewis, learns that she and Belinda bugged the house illegally, so he demands both their badges and guns. And whilst Lewis will open an internal investigation, he suspends both from their duty. However, Flora saves Belinda’s skin by admitting that she acted alone and that Belinda had no involvement.

Pedro’s team announces that due to his upcoming visit to a homeless shelter, he is finally getting good publicity. And to maintain that publicity, Pedro should publically denounce Ernesto. In “Then”, after Pedro’s mother finds blood on his shoe, she demands he tells her the truth. When she learns what has happened, she drags him through the house and demands that they tell the police. Back to “Now”, and Marcos bumps into Isabel as she collects more of her belongings. Isabel tells Marcos then when he realizes what he has lost, it will be too late.

Sofia returns to her motel room, and Bernie is there. Bernie is growing increasingly impatient whilst waiting for the money, and despite Sofia saying she needs a little more time, Bernie gives her only five more days. Belinda brings Flora her belongings and asks for any documents that relate to Daniela’s case. Once inside Flora’s place, Belinda realizes that Flora is obsessed with the case. She accuses Flora of putting her obsession above anything else and calls her out for putting her career at risk. Pedro refuses to throw Ernesto under the bus, which annoys his team and Ana.

The ending

And later, as his family celebrates Thanksgiving, it seems that Pedro finally snaps. In “Then”, Flora gets all the fingerprints of the emergency service workers who may have touched Jessica and/or the car. Later on, Flora interrupts Sulivan’s dinner with his wife as Flora believes that she has found the killer’s prints. Moving back to “Now”, Sullivan scolds Flora for getting herself suspended.

Whilst absolutely plastered, Marcos calls Sofia. When he asks what the punishment is for drunk driving, Sofia heads straight to see him. When Ana and Pedro argue over the night’s dinner, Ana makes it clear that she knows that there is more to his relationship with Ernesto. In “Then”, it’s shown that no one purposely killed Jessica. Instead, as Pedro tried to take a phone, there was a slight scuffle, and she accidentally fell into the metal shard.

When Sofia picks Marcos up from the bar, she tells him that now is the time that she should go to Columbia. But as they leave, Marcos collapses. Flora gets a call from the hospital as Hugo has woken up from his coma. Pedro tells Ana that Flora has been taken off the case. So he suggests that they go out for drinks, just like the old times. Pedro learns from Alison, the babysitter, that Ana went out one night without telling him and didn’t come back home until late. A flashback shows that Ana visited Daniela the night that she was murdered, with a further scene showing Ana returning home and washing blood off her hands.
