Summary
The mystery continues. But it’s not just a case of how Chloe died, but should we trust Becky? She is, without a doubt, an odd character, and I can’t figure out whether we should like her or not. Even though there’s not much action or drama, Chloe is an exciting watch.

Chloe season 1, episode 2 recap
Becky continues to stalk Chloe’s social media and spends more time with Livia. Livia has to rush away when she gets a phone call about some “news”. Becky goes online and learns that Graham has resigned after a series of allegations that he sent explicit messages to a female colleague. Livia goes to take a picture of Becky, but Becky requests that she doesn’t and claims that it is because she has a stalker. When Becky stalks Chloe’s social media accounts, she has a flashback to when they were younger.
Becky’s Mum, Pam, hears the next-door neighbour’s baby crying, and she mistakes it for her own child, Sasha. When enrolling in another yoga class, Becky has to pay £250 for a deposit, which clearly is too much for her. However, despite her warning that her card may decline due to a banking issue, the payment is processed. Afterwards, Becky continues to hang out with Livia, even offering to care for Noah, Livia and Phil’s son, while Livia and Phil are busy with work. In the meantime, Becky manages to get herself on the guest list for Elliot’s upcoming event.
At that event, Becky is clearly out of place, and when everyone ignores her, it seems that Becky is growing more infuriated with each second. Josh enters the event and immediately begins questioning Becky about her life in Tokyo. But she manages to turn the tables and switches the conversation to Josh’s role in Cats. Afterwards, Becky speaks to George and apologises for disturbing dinner, but her attempts to call a truce are pointless when Becky quickly abandons him to speak to Georgia, one of Mark Peele’s friends.
Becky thanks Josh for keeping her identity secret. Once Livia shoos Josh away, she offers Becky a job if she goes forward with expanding her business. Once Graham makes a speech about not seeking a future election, he announces that Elliot will take his place. As Becky watches closely, Josh tells her to be careful and that she will have to wade through the vultures. When the event draws to a close, Becky listens to Elliot moan about how people always want more and more from him. And since the last taxi has already left, Becky offers to drive him home.
The ending
Once there, Elliot invites Becky inside, and you would expect she ends up staying the night. During the night, Becky searches through the house and goes through Chloe’s belongings. When she knocks over a plant and finds two pills, she wakes up Elliot. He goes to help her clean up the mess, and they end up having sex. When Becky and Elliot are in bed together, Elliot reveals that Chloe was on antidepressants, aka likely what the pills were in the plant pot. Elliot reveals that he knew that Chloe wasn’t right, but he stayed at an event to make a speech which she suddenly left. When he finally tracked her down, she was in her pyjamas, not wearing her coat. But where exactly? (I’m assuming that he means on the cliff).
In a flashback to when she was a child, Becky returns home, after presumably being out all night, and gets ignored by her mum. In the present timeline, she accepts a phone call for Chloe from the CHC Clinic in Bristol. Elliot tells Becky that this is the first time he hasn’t felt like sh*t, but he still feels like he is cheating. As he tells Becky that, she envisions Chloe beside him.
In a bizarre move, Becky attends Chloe’s CHC Clinic appointment and has a contraceptive injection. Afterwards, Becky goes to Josh and tells her to stop asking questions before having sex with him. The second episode of Chloe ends with Becky thinking back to when Chloe called her at 2.45 am asking if “she could keep a secret.” And afterwards, Becky texts Elliot and tells him, “I’m always here if you need to talk.”
