Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin season 1, episode 9 recap

The Liars tell their Mothers about Joseph. The sins of their mothers visited upon their daughters. Noa’s Mom claims that she’ll be detoxing at home, so it’s best if Noa stays with Shawn for a while. And while she spends the night with Shawn, she quizzes him on taking steroids. When Noa breaks down about having two junkies in her life, Shawn agrees to stop taking the steroids gradually. Imogen has a nightmare that A attacks her, and she wakes up screaming.

Later, Imogen continues to speculate whether Joseph wasn’t A. Kelly calls her father a drunk bully, so, in return, he tells her that it should have been her who died, not Karen. The next day at school, Kelly turns up wearing Karen’s clothes and places herself on Greg’s lap. As Imogen’s concerns that her mother’s death may not have been an accident grow, she goes to the coroner and asks for her death to be looked at; but for that to happen, Imogen must ask Sheriff Beasley to have the body exhumed. And shockingly, when she asks him, he agrees to help her.

When Faran goes to confront Kelly over kissing her boyfriend, she learns that Kelly has been cutting herself. They have a heart-to-heart, bitch about Sheriff Beasley, and end up hugging. Sidney starts to suspect Wes could be the one who raped, so she storms into the movie theatre and tells him to “stay the hell away from her daughter”. Faran goes to Sheriff Beasley and tells him that Kelly is cutting herself because of him; however, he refuses to take the blame. Even so, Faran blackmails into keeping his hands off Kelly and into resigning as the community officer.

The ending

Just as Noa is out bowling with her father, he suddenly has a turn in mood. He tells her not to call him “Dad”, and he quickly leaves. Imogen goes to see her father and tells him that she needs him to fill out a form that will allow her body to be exhumed. Before he signs the form, he tells Imogen that her mother used to have major times of depression and that the only thing that made her happy with the birth of Imogen; for that reason, he also believes that Davie would not commit suicide. As Tabby starts to think things over, she realizes that Wes wasn’t at the party; but that Chip made a pass on her. And the next day, Noa gets the blood results back, and it’s been narrowed down to 66 people; and Chip’s among them!

Creepy Steve calls Mouse and tells her that Rachel’s body has been found, so he needs someone to talk to. Sheriff Beasley calls Imogen; someone has dug up and taken her Mom’s body. When fear overwhelms the Moms, they all desperately try to track down their daughters. And because of that, Shirley and Elodie find Noa with Steve. After Tabby tells Kelly and Martha the truth about Sheriff Beasley, Imogen learns that her Mom had a former flame, Tom Beasley, aka Sheriff Beasley. In the closing moments of the ninth episode of Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, Tabby learns that Sheriff Beasley forced himself on Angela Waters.
